The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the legal field, with a particular focus on business and commercial litigation. The role requires a high degree of professionalism, the ability to handle confidential information with discretion, and a keen eye for detail. The successful candidate will possess a strong work ethic, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: • Assist attorneys in all stages of litigation matters, including pleadings, discovery, trial, and appeal., • Conduct legal research, factual investigation, and document analysis., • Prepare legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, appeals, agreements, contracts, and legal memoranda., • Coordinate and manage the collection, review, and production of documents., • Assist with deposition preparation, including the preparation of witness files and deposition outlines., • Assist in trial preparation, including the creation of trial exhibits, witness binders, and trial notebooks., • Liaise with clients, court personnel, experts, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders., • Manage and organize large case files and databases., • Monitor deadlines and juggle multiple tasks and cases simultaneously., • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, with a focus on commercial litigation., • Paralegal certification is preferred., • Proficiency in legal research software such as Westlaw or LexisNexis., • Strong knowledge of the litigation process, legal terminology, court rules, and procedures., • Excellent written and oral communication skills., • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail., • Ability to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines., • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently., • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint., • Experience with e-discovery platforms and case management software., • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise a high standard of judgment and discretion., • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of individuals.
