Job DescriptionJob Title: Test Technician Job Description Join our dynamic team as a Test Technician, where you will conduct validation testing activities for both new and existing products. You will perform a variety of mechanical tests such as reliability and durability testing, temperature cycling, force and load measurements, environmental testing, drop and impact testing, and hardware validation. Additionally, you will collaborate with product development teams on new product testing and engineering changes. Responsibilities • Conduct validation testing for new and existing products., • Perform mechanical tests including reliability, durability, temperature cycling, force and load measurements, environmental testing, drop and impact testing, and hardware validation., • Collaborate with product development teams for new product testing and engineering changes.Essential Skills, • Strong knowledge in electromechanics and lab testing., • Proficiency with electrical testing tools such as Oscilloscope, Digital Multi-meter, E-loads, and bench top power supplies., • Experience in a test lab environment., • Knowledge of durability, temperature cycling, environmental, impact, and firmware validations., • Familiarity with IoT, Jira, electrical schematics, and LabVIEW., • Associate degree in electrical engineering or related field, or equivalent experience., • Minimum of 2 years related work experience in a test lab environment., • Effective multi-tasking, organizational, and time management skills., • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently., • Strong electro-mechanical aptitude.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications., • Flexibility in day-to-day tasks and assignments., • Proficient in soldering electrical wire/components., • Preferred: 5+ years of experience in product testing and validations for Electrical/Mechanical Products., • Knowledge of EE hardware & firmware development & testing., • Experience with IoT solutions., • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.Work Environment You will work in a hands-on lab setting, perfect for those eager to learn. You will be part of a team dedicated to R&D and testing, focusing on the early phases of product design before transitioning to manufacturing, quality, and testing. The team comprises three electrical techs, and you will be the key member to support testing activities. The role offers an indefinite contract due to ongoing projects extending into 2026, working with high-profile products that promote safety capabilities in electronics. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Charlotte, NC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
