Experience the vibrant urban lifestyle of Charlotte while providing exceptional clinical support in a Neuro Intermediate PCU setting.\n \n\nCompensation\n\n • Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1570 - $1680 per week\n\n\nPCU Registered Nurse Job Details\n\n, • Location: Charlotte, NC (28203) – North Carolina nursing jobs\n, • Facility: Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated teaching hospital\n, • Unit: Neuro Intermediate Progressive Care Unit (19 beds)\n, • Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)\n, • Assignment Length: 13 weeks\n, • Start Date: October 13, 2025\n, • End Date: January 10, 2026\n, • Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00pm – 7:00am)\n, • Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed\n, • Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend\n, • Holiday Coverage: 75% of holidays during assignment\n, • Scrub Color: Navy\n, • Parking: Free onsite parking\n\n\nPCU RN Qualifications\n\n, • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or compact state\n, • Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience, including neuro patient care\n, • BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required\n, • Proficient in lumbar drains, stroke care, cardiac rhythm interpretation, trach care, PIV starts, chest tube management, NGT placement, drain/tube management (Dobhoff, PEG tubes, Hemovac, JP drains, flexiseals, foley insertion/management), and PCA pumps\n, • Experience with medication gtt management (cardiac drips, heparin, blood products, IVF, nicardipine drips)\n, • EPIC EMR experience preferred\n, • Ability to float within region and scope of practice as needed\n, • At least 1 year of overall nursing experience required\n\n\nPCU Registered Nurse Responsibilities\n\n, • Deliver high-quality patient care to post-operative neurosurgery and neuro PCU patients\n, • Monitor and manage patients with craniotomy, VP shunt, deep brain stimulators, subdural hematomas, CSF leaks, seizures, post-op spine and ENT surgery, and stroke\n, • Maintain RN-to-patient ratios of 1:3 for optimal clinical support\n, • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams including CNAs, charge nurses, phlebotomy, IV/VAT team, respiratory therapists, hospitalists, and intensivists\n, • Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to emergencies as needed\n, • Float to other healthcare facilities within the designated region as required\n, • Participate in orientation and ongoing departmental training\n GHR Healthcare Job ID #406930.
