Job DescriptionJob Title: Assembler / Production Operator Job Description This role focuses on building electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies and components in an aerospace manufacturing environment. You will perform frequent soldering and cable harnessing, follow detailed engineering documentation, and complete functional tests to ensure each product meets strict quality standards. The position requires accurate data entry into computer systems, adherence to lot traceability and inventory practices, and the ability to work both collaboratively in a team and independently once trained. Responsibilities • Build electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies in conformance with drawings, specifications, and quality standards while meeting documented production time standards when applicable., • Perform frequent soldering, crimping, wire harnessing, basic testing, and visual inspection to complete assemblies., • Follow written and verbal instructions from engineers, leads, and supervisors to determine product and procedure acceptance., • Input data into and extract information from various computer databases to complete production tasks accurately., • Update job routers with required information, including stamps and other documentation, to maintain accurate production records., • Adhere to lot traceability requirements and general inventory practices throughout the build process., • Validate that build and inspection equipment is calibrated and qualified as fit-for-use before use., • Perform self-audits of the workstation or as directed to ensure compliance with system, process, and specification requirements., • Recognize deviations from standard drawings, practices, or procedures and escalate issues appropriately., • Perform inspection of complex assemblies and systems for conformance to drawing and quality standards., • Conduct basic troubleshooting of complex assemblies, assembly tools, tooling, and test equipment associated with production products, upgrades, and rework., • Perform visual, dimensional, electrical, functional, and optical inspections as specified for assigned tasks., • Support special projects and tasks as assigned, including activities related to fit-for-use, shelf life, and calibration., • Use hand tools and electronic test equipment safely and effectively during assembly and inspection work., • Work cooperatively in a team environment and, once trained, complete assigned work independently while communicating effectively with colleagues and leadership., • Take initiative to identify and recommend opportunities for process and quality improvements in the production area.Essential Skills, • 0–2 years of experience working in electronics production and assembly or similar production and assembly environments., • Hands-on experience or strong aptitude with soldering, including soldering assembly work., • Experience with or ability to perform crimping and wire harness assembly., • Ability to perform visual inspection of assemblies and components for quality and conformance., • Basic ability to operate a computer for data entry, data retrieval, and use of production software or databases., • Ability to read and follow detailed processing sheets, basic blueprints, drawings, and written work instructions., • Strong communication skills to follow verbal instructions and collaborate effectively with engineers, leads, supervisors, and team members., • Keen attention to detail and accuracy in both manual assembly work and documentation., • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment and support shared production goals., • Willingness to work extra hours as needed to meet production schedules and deadlines.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Familiarity with electronics and electromechanical assembly practices., • Experience working with hand tools and basic test equipment in a production environment., • Understanding of lot traceability concepts and general inventory practices., • Ability to perform or learn basic troubleshooting of assemblies, tools, and test equipment., • Capability to conduct visual, dimensional, electrical, functional, and optical inspections according to procedures., • Comfort working from engineering or quality drawings, standards, and test procedures., • Proactive mindset with the initiative to define and recommend improvement opportunities in processes and workflows., • Ability to manage multiple tasks and special projects as assigned while maintaining quality and documentation standards.Why Work Here? Work Environment This position is based in an aerospace manufacturing plant that combines production floor activities with computer-based tasks. You will frequently use your hands, fingers, and arms to reach, handle, and feel equipment, materials, and computer hardware. The role requires frequent close vision and the ability to adjust focus for detailed assembly and inspection work. You will move throughout the facility regularly and may occasionally use steps or ladders as part of your duties. The position involves sitting, standing, and walking for periods ranging from 1 to 10 hours per day, depending on production needs. You must be able to occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds and, on a seldom to occasional basis, position yourself to stoop, kneel, crouch, or bend to access equipment or materials. The environment includes the use of hand tools, electronic assembly and test equipment, and computer systems in a structured, safety-conscious aerospace production setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Everett, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.91 - $28.13/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
