Job DescriptionSalary: Purpose The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine facility maintenance tasks on facilities in accordance with all safety regulations and procedures under close supervision of the Facilities Manager. This includes troubleshooting equipment, supporting preventive maintenance, ensuring safety compliance, and assisting with daily operational needs while maintaining strong communication and customer service standards. Responsibilities • Assist in identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving basic mechanical, electrical, and facility-related safety issues, • Support in evaluating facility equipment and infrastructure needs and implementing corrective actions as directed, • Assist with equipment installations, facility equipment startups, and facility improvement projects, • Provide daily operational support for building assets and equipment, • Support special projects and improvement initiatives as assigned by management, • Perform routine corrective and preventive maintenance activities, including scheduled equipment checks, • Complete assigned work orders using the work order management system, ensuring accurate notes, timestamps, and documentation, • Conduct routine building rounds and inspections across assigned facilities, • Assist with coordinating onsite vendors and confirming completion of contracted services when needed, • Maintain documentation within the work order system, including status updates and photos when required, • Respond to facility issues such as leaks, alarms, and outages and assist with mitigation and repair efforts, • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks for building equipment such as HVAC systems, pumps, compressors, and emergency systems under guidance from the Facility Manager, • Communicate professionally with building occupants regarding maintenance activities and timelines, • Participate in the maintenance on-call rotation as required, • Maintain a working knowledge of FDA 21 CFR 1271, FDA 21 CFR 820, AATB standards, ISO Standards, cGMP/CGTP, other relevant regulations/standards, and internal organizational policies and standard operating procedures., • Maintain acceptable attendance and punctuality for scheduled work hours and meetings. Ensure completion of assigned tasks and responsibilities within defined timeframes, • Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours during weekdays or weekends with reasonable advance notice to support business/operational needs when necessary, • Perform other duties as assigned Skills • Ability to work independently and in a team environment, • Strong customer service skills, • Excellent attention to detail and organization, • Excellent written and verbal communication, • Highest level of ethics and integrity, • Ability to lead and motivate the right behaviors, • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment, • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, • Safe and efficient operations and maintenance of tools and equipment according to standard operating and safety procedures, • Ability to abide by safety rules and regulations, occupational hazards and safety precautions, • May be required to work immediately before, during or after an emergency or disaster Physical Requirement • Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs, • Ability to lift, bend, kneel, climb ladders, reach below and above shoulders, • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, with exposure to hazardous equipment, requires constant physical efforts, • Wrist, hand and finger dexterity is required to operate various equipment and materials Qualifications/Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution required, • At least 1 year of experience in general facility maintenance, including basic HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, office moves, and meeting room setup required, • Experience in Pharmaceutical, Hospital, or Food Service industries preferred, • Experience working with hand tools, power tools and precision measuring devices required, • HVAC license, Electrical Technician or Universal EPA certification preferred, • Valid Class C drivers license and reliable transportation required, • Clearance of favorable background investigation required
