Job Description Metro Staffing is currently seeking EXPERIENCED STANDUP FORKLIFT OPERATORS Operators are responsible for loading and unloading goods, determining loading procedures, staging orders, and checking product for loading accuracy. SHIFT: 2nd 5 PM - Until finish WORK DAYS: Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday (OFF TUESDAY, FRIDAY & SATURDAY) PAY: $18 Hourly What's on the Menu: • Load and unload trucks accurately in a timely manner., • Notify management of damaged or suspect product., • Complete loading or receiving tasks to comply with safety and quality standards., • Assure completion of required daily distribution paperwork, i.e., receiving logs, load sheets, damaged product, etc., • Operate fork trucks and other material handling equipment in a safe and professional manner., • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly sanitation tasks according to sanitation schedule; including, trailers., • Communicate with Shift Leader regarding Safety, product levels, quality issues, day-to-day challenges, etc., • Communicate with other department team members to ensure the correct product is being picked and loaded., • Assist customers with will-call pick-ups as required., • Ensure compliance with Safety, Sanitation, and HACCP policies & procedures, federal, state, and local regulations (OSHA, FDA, DOL), and all company policies & procedures., • High school diploma or equivalent preferred., • Previous experience with loading and unloading trucks preferred., • Previous experience with technologically advanced order picking system is preferred., • Ability to read and/or understand written and/or verbal policy, instruction and direction in English required., • Must be able to safely operate a forklift and manual/electric pallet jacks., • Ability to perform mathematical tasks required.Interested in becoming a new crew member give us a call or text 817-204-0850.

Roles and Responsibilities • Conduct operations in a manner promoting safety, • Sit-down lift experiences preferred, • Minimum of 6 months of forklift and warehouse experience, • Must be super-efficient in all tasks required, • Put away inbound shipments/move product to storage locations using a forklift, • Picking cases by the each onto pallets using the powered equipment, • Prepare product for shipment ensuring the exact number and correct item is staged for loading, • Keep appropriate records and reports for inventory accuracy, • Report quality variances, • Maintain the facility's equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion, • Assist in any required physical inventories, • Complete daily inspection of equipment, • Perform additional duties as assigned by management, • Ensure proper stock rotation, • Satisfactory completion of a forklift training program, • Comply with all OSHA and MSDS standards, • Must be able to pass Forklift Driving Skills test, • This position requires lifting cases weighing from 20-45 pounds repeatedly throughout a long work period, • 18 years or older, • Working in a high-speed manufacturing environment (e.g., team-oriented, deadline driven, high performance demands, fast-paced, etc.), • Driving a forklift (e.g., performing basic operations such as driving forwards, driving backwards, lifting and lowering boom, maneuvering in tight areas without damaging product, etc.), • Working with racking systems and loading/unloading pallets (e.g., pulling and placing pallets on/off vertical product racking systems and trucks, maximizing storage by stacking products vertically, etc.), • Observe and follow health and safety regulations, • Enforces operating instructions and safety policies., • Assist management in establishing warehouse standards and procedures, • Maintain detailed records of safety incidents, • Assign designated safety personnel, • Maintain warehouse in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
