Job DescriptionProcess Manufacturing Technician (Temp-to-Perm) Location: Charlotte, NC Pay Rate: 22.75/hour (Temp-to-Perm) Shift: 4x10 Night Shift Schedule: Monday – Thursday | 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Process Manufacturing Technician to support advanced, automated manufacturing operations within a multi-phase production environment. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring complex manufacturing equipment used throughout multiple phases of transition manufacturing. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and capable of working independently while supporting team objectives. Key Responsibilities * Set up, operate, and monitor automated and semi-automated manufacturing equipment across multiple production phases * Phase 1 Equipment: Robotic grit blast systems, air and vacuum furnaces, robotic coating booths, laser hole cutters, cosmetic grit blast equipment, barcode readers and etchers * Phase 2 Equipment: Robotic trim welders, presses, vacuum furnaces, barcode readers, and manual welding equipment * Phase 3 Equipment: Belt sanders, laser cutters, milling machines, plating equipment, hot press and vacuum furnaces, barcode readers, and C-scan systems * Interpret and work from manufacturing documentation including blueprints, drawings, specifications, charts, and verbal or written instructions * Perform equipment set-ups where incorrect adjustments could result in part or equipment damage * Load and unload materials using forklifts, jib cranes, and bridge cranes; move material between operations * Perform minor equipment maintenance (nozzle changes, oil checks, filter inspections, etc.) * Conduct in-process inspections and integrity checks (manual and electronic) to maintain tight tolerances * Assist quality teams with measuring, testing, charting, and recording production data * Maintain accurate production records and system documentation * Maintain clean and organized work areas, return tools and fixtures to proper locations * Support team members through training assistance, handling, and measurements as needed * Follow all safety, health, and operational procedures at all times Qualifications * 2–4 years of experience in advanced manufacturing or process-driven production environments * 2–3 years of applied trades training preferred * Experience working with stainless alloys * Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manufacturing documentation * Working knowledge of metrology, close-tolerance measurements, and visual weld inspection * Understanding of basic electrical schematics * Proficient with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.) * Solid shop math skills, including measurement conversions * Computer literacy required (data collection and manufacturing systems) * Ability to work independently using sound judgment, initiative, and problem-solving skills * Willingness and ability to obtain forklift, crane operator, and LPI certifications * U.S. or Canadian citizenship required Physical & Work Environment Requirements * Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; frequent lifting of 5–25 lbs * Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, crouch, reach, and work in awkward positions * Manual dexterity required for CNC and manual equipment operation * Work performed in a production environment with exposure to noise, vibration, chemicals, lasers, fumes, and solvents * Must have normal or corrected vision and hearing * Strict adherence to PPE requirements, including safety shoes, glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, and protective clothing Why This Role? * Stable temp-to-perm opportunity * Competitive night-shift pay * Advanced manufacturing environment with highly automated equipment * Opportunity to grow technical expertise across multiple manufacturing phases Pay Details: 22.75 per hour Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
