American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Baltimore, Maryland. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: 05/25/2026, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 36 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, nights, • Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview • Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs, • Hours: 36 hrs/wk, • Start Date: May 25, 2026, • Length: 13 weeks, • Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, • Medical ICU (MICU) setting within a large academic hospital, • High-acuity patient population with complex medical diagnoses including end-stage renal and hepatic disease (ESRD/ESLD), multisystem organ failure (MSOF), ARDS, DIC, sepsis, HIV, CHF, autoimmune and pulmonary disorders, critically ill antepartum/postpartum patients, critically ill oncology patients, and lung transplant patients, • Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:1 or 1:2, • 36 hours per week, • 3 out of every 6 weekends required per 6-week schedule, • 2 on-call availability shifts required per 6-week schedule, • Holiday coverage required as needed, • Floating required to areas of like skill set as needed, • Epic EMR (preferred)Requirements, • Active MD or Compact RN license currently in hand, • Current BLS certification required, • ACLS certification preferred, • Critical Care Certification (e.g., CCRN) preferred, • Trauma course completion preferred, • Minimum 2.5 years of strong ICU experience required, • At least one prior travel contract in a MICU setting required, • Experience at a facility with 500+ beds required; academic institution experience preferred, • Current Surgical ICU experience of at least 2 years preferred, • At least 2 previous travel assignments preferred, • Epic EMR experience preferred, • SSN and DOB required for consideration, • 1 professional reference required for consideration, • Active licensure documentation required for considerationAdditional Information, • Orientations begin on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month, • Local candidates are accepted at the same bill rate With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
