Job Description Assistant Property Manager – Mesa, AZ Company: Hometrend Property Management & Real Estate, Inc. Location: 1819 E. Southern Ave, Suite A10, Mesa, AZ 85204 (In-Person) Job Type: Full-Time | W-2 Compensation: $60,000–$70,000 DOE + Performance Bonus We're hiring an Assistant Property Manager to serve as the operational backbone of our day-to-day business. This is an in-person, full-time role based out of our private office in Mesa, and it's ideal for someone who is highly organized, proactive, and thrives in a structured environment where accuracy and follow-through are everything. You'll work directly alongside our owner— a seasoned entrepreneur with 25+ years in real estate — managing the full lifecycle of our rental portfolio: from applications and leasing to maintenance coordination, client assistance, and administrative scheduling. This is not a back-office support role. You'll have real ownership, real visibility, and a direct seat at the table. We are a small office environment. What You'll Be Doing Operational Execution & Property Performance (approx. 50% of your time) • Own the calendar, inbox, organization, and execution of all day-to-day property operations — applications, lease renewals, move-ins, move-outs, and turnovers, • Coordinate maintenance requests end-to-end using PropertyMeld, ensuring timely resolution and vendor follow-through, • Serve as the professional, responsive voice of Hometrend for clients via phone, email, and Appfolio, • Proactively communicate updates on maintenance, vacancies, renewals, and any property issues ensure customer satisfaction, • Handle routine inquiries with confidence and sound judgment; escalate appropriately when needed, • Maintain highly organized, accurate, and up-to-date lease agreements, owner files, and property records in AppFolio, • Track rent payments, maintenance costs, and owner disbursements with zero margin for error, • Generate monthly and annual owner reports and ensure financial records are clean and easily accessible, • Support administrative functions that keep the business running smoothly behind the scenes Must-Have: • 2+ years of experience in property management, real estate, office coordination, or a related field, • Exceptionally organized — you build systems, maintain them, and optimize them, • Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills, • Strong attention to detail with a track record of accurate, thorough work, • Self-starter who takes ownership without being managed step-by-step, • Comfortable learning new software quickly Nice to Have: • Experience with AppFolio, Aptly, or PropertyMeld (we'll train the right person — fast learners are valued over résumé checkboxes), • Background in property management or real estate Why Work With Us • $60,000–$70,000 annually, depending on experience, • Annual performance bonus tied to portfolio outcomes, • Private office in our Mesa location with your own computer setup, • Paid Time Off — accrued from your start date; all major holidays paid, • Professional development support — courses and real estate training, • Direct mentorship from a 25-year real estate entrepreneur — rare access to someone who has seen every market cycle and built a business that has stood the test of time, • Involvement in strategy conversations — you won't just execute, you'll understand the why behind decisions and have a voice in how we grow, • Stable, in-person role with core hours of 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday–Friday Our Hiring Process: • Qualified applicants will receive a text/email invitation to complete a short assessment., • Upon completion, candidates will be scheduled for a 20-30 minute Zoom/video interview., • Finalists will then be invited for the final rounds of interview.
