Director of Supply Chain Planning/Operations North America is responsible for leading, optimizing and upgrading the planning operations for Cartamundi USPC. This role ensures the delivery of operational excellence, planning efficiency and continuous improvement, while aligning the North American supply chain with the company’s global strategies and business objectives. The Director will lead a team of planning professionals and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver high customer satisfaction and operational effectiveness. They work closely together with the Customer Service Departments in a continuous effort to deliver excellence. Together with the Senior Manager of Procurement and Transportation, the Director of Supply Chain Planning North America defines and rolls out the supply chain strategy for North America, while representing the North America supply chain in global supply chain councils and collaborating closely with other facilities across the globe. What you’ll do as a Director of Supply Chain Planning/Operations NA: Strategic Leadership & Regional Alignment • Define and execute the North American supply chain planning strategy in alignment with global business objectives., • Represent regional priorities in global supply chain forums and initiatives., • Upgrade the production planning process and organization, leveraging the ERP system (SAP)., • Elevate the production planning horizon to ensure transparancy towards sales organizations and structural balance between changeovers, customer service and inventory., • Lead the weekly cross-functional S&OE/cuts meeting, • Real-time follow-up and adaption of inventory strategy (safety stocks and EOQ)., • Work out lean initiatives to reduce raw materials, WIP and finished goods., • Work hand in hand with the product development team on the setup and optimal costing of new products, • Proactively follow-up on cross-factory planning to ensure adherence to go-live plannings, • Preparation of S&OP meetings together with the Global Director of S&OP, • Automation processes to capture data essential to supply chain improvements, • Portfolio size, • Customer OTIF, • Days Inventory On hand, • Absolute inventory number, • Depreciated Inventory, • Internal: Manufacturing Operations, Commercial, Finance, IT, HR, Quality, Global Supply Chain, • Strategic leadership but with a very hands-on, pragmatic and engaging leadership aproach, • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred)., • 10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain or manufacturing leadership roles, including multi-site or regional responsibility., • APICS CSCP or similar certification that proves indepth knowledge of integrated supply chain management, planning systems (e.g., SAP APO, Kinaxis, or similar), and S&OP processes., • Indepth experience on the use of ERP systems for planning., • Demonstrated success in leading transformational supply chain initiatives and building high-performance teams., • Experience working in a global organizational context., • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills., • Lean/Six Sigma certification is a plus., • Great pay, • Bonuses, including retention, referral, and perfect attendance, • Climate controlled facility, • 401(k) with dollar for dollar company match up to 6%, • Health, dental, and vision insurance starting day one, • HSA (Health Savings Account) with company contribution and FSA (Flexible Spending Account), • Company paid Life insurance amount of 1x your annual salary, • Company paid Short-Term and Long-Term Disability, • Paid time off, • Paid holidays, • Tuition reimbursement, • Monthly engagement activities and giveaways Our manufacturing Plant is comprised of enclosed office and manufacturing space.
