JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Oversees all golf services and operations including but not limited to golf purchasing, • Management of golf cart maintenance and usage, tee-time reservations, starting and monitoring play, • Enforces all rules and regulations governing golf course usage, • Coordinates golf operations with Golf Course Maintenance Department and maintains close working relationship with Golf Course Superintendent, • Reviews and reports of financial variances at the end of each period, • Develops, in coordination with the Director of Golf Operations, annual operating budget and business plan, • Works in conjunction with the Tournament Director to manage and execute an innovative tournament program, • Coordinates with Golf Retail Director to maintain and oversee a profitable merchandise concession that is consistent with patron demographics and needs, • Establishes retail sales goals and forecasts with Director of Golf and monitors and analyzes reports, • Supervises physical inventories and the display of merchandise and assists in the development of necessary systems to safeguard inventories, • Implements cash and systems controls to ensure the safekeeping of assets, inventory, and resources, • Oversees and approves all weekly golf time sheets, payroll, purchase orders, invoices and preparation of reports required, • Oversees, monitors, and promotes the development of the assistant golf professionals in the PGA PGM program, • Thinks innovatively regarding day-to-day operations and presents new operational ideas to the Director of Golf Operations, • Plays with membership and guests and maintains a competitive level of golf skills, • Instructs Jr. Clinics and other clinics as necessary, • Conducts Hiring/ Staffing in cooperation with Human Resources, trains and supervises assistants, outside staff, and shop staff, • Completes employee evaluations in a timely manner and coordinates processes with Human Resources, • Implements company and departmental policies and procedures and schedules regular staff meetings, • All other duties as assigned MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE • Must be a Member of the Professional Golfer’s Association of America with experience at a private club with a high volume of play, • PGA member for at least 2 years preferred, • Must have experience in tournament operations, golf instructional programs, playing, and merchandising., • 3-5 years of management experience preferred, • Must have customer service, training and supervision of staff, fiscal experience, and tournament organization skills, • 5 or more years of experience in the business (under P.G.A. requirements) preferred CRITICAL SKILLS • Excellent communication skills with the ability to relate to a wide variety of people, • Must be able to understand and follow verbal/written instructions, • Must be able to use tact and understanding when dealing with a variety of customer service problems, including stressful and highly emotional situations, • Must have the ability to manage a diverse workload, prioritize and delegate in a fast-paced environment, • Must be highly organized and able to handle multiple tasks and to deploy resources effectively, • Must have the willingness to provide exceptional service to members and desire to provide leadership to position the department to achieve the mission, • Must be able to interpret the rules of golf, • Must be able to demonstrate solid playing skills PHYSICAL DEMANDS • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, sit, reach, grasp, talk, hear, listen, bend, twist, kneel and perform repetitive motions, • Ability to push, pull, lift, carry or otherwise move up to 20 lbs, • Ability to work in a variety of outside weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, wind and rain, • Ability to work varied shifts inclusive of evenings, weekends and holidays, • Playing golf and/or hitting golf balls 10% of shift

Starter Responsibilities: • Responsible for providing the highest level of professionalism and customer service for our members and guest, • Ensure an orderly flow of play onto the golf course while enforcing all club rules pertaining to play in the Golf Handbook, • Prepares a daily round count for each course, • Communicate groups to the 1st tee at appropriate time, • Assists the golf shop staff in collecting all guest and cart fees, • Coordinates any changes on the tee sheet with golf shop staff, • Checks in members and guests for their tee times on hard copy of sheet and on the computer, • Answers inquiries promptly to assist members with tee time requests and or changes, • Complies with departmental uniform and grooming standards, • Works variety of shifts, as needed to include nights, weekends and or holidays, • Complies with departmental and Club policies and procedures, • Performs all other duties as assigned Starter Qualifications: • High School Diploma or Equivalent, • 1 or more years of knowledge using computer software applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel, • Must have valid driver’s license to operate Club vehicles, • Ability to communicate and relate to a wide variety of people, • Ability to understand and follow verbal/written instructions, • Ability to manage a diverse workload and prioritize in a fast-paced environment, • Willingness to provide exceptional service to members and guests, • Uses tact and understanding when dealing with a variety of customer service problems, including stressful and highly emotional situations while maintaining professionalism and integrity of the club Starter Physical Requirements: • Stands, bends, walks and kneels for 10% of the workday, • Lifts up to 10 pounds for 10% of workday, • Works outdoors for 90% of workday
