About the Role Burton James is seeking an accomplished Head of Upholstery Production to lead full factory operations for custom upholstered furniture. This role oversees daily production execution, quality, and throughput across all departments. The ideal leader brings deep, hands-on knowledge of custom upholstery from start to finish, exceptional team leadership, and strong organizational and operational skills. This position reports to the Brand Director and manages two Production Supervisors, six Department Leads, and a broader team of craftspeople. They work closely with cross-functional teams (including Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing and Finance) to capture supply constraints, sales risks (downsides) and opportunities (upsides), marketing programs to drive demand and ensure that the overall forecast are aligned to financial targets. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Key Result Area 1: Demand Planning Process 1. Historical Forecast Review & Analysis • Identify, measure and document historical sales outliers driven by non-recurring sales activities, risks, opportunities and supply availability., • Establish statistical baseline forecast per BU product as reference (ADQ, Average Daily Quantity), • Communicate statistical product forecast changes to Marketing Team and other key stakeholders during Demand Review. 2. The Special Events Service Technician must be willing to travel to support special events throughout the region and to support other regions as needed. Responsibilities: • Conduct daily pre-shift vehicle inspection & report deficiencies to management immediately. Conduct daily inspection of all tools assigned to the truck to ensure safety and proper working condition. Check loads to ensure that truck has all material (units, fence panels, poles, etc.) and tools needed to complete service tickets, • Operate service trucks to and from pre-designated work sites based on assignment information. Maintain a clean and fully stocked truck, • Operate flatbed trucks to and from pre-designated work sites based on daily routing information to deliver or pick up portable restroom units, hand sinks, holding tanks, or containers.
