Job Description Description Job Title: BOOKKEEPER/STAFF ACCOUNTANT • Deliver full cycle accounting: Monthly Income statement, Balance sheet, Financial indicators., • Deliver quarterly financial summaries, indicators., • Classify, allocate, record and summarize numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records, using journals and ledgers or computers., • Monthly reconciliation of GL accounts., • Check figures, postings and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy and proper codes., • Assist with all company bookkeeping tasks including but not limited to; AR, AP, PR, GL, and daily/weekly/monthly journal entries., • Ensure payments for suppliers are sent out accurately in a timely manner., • Ensure payments from customers are received in a timely manner., • Ensure that business licenses are renewed and paid on time., • Assist in the preparation, review and revision of monthly financial statements for the CEO to review and create and/ or distribute other reports as requested., • Receive payments in the system and record appropriately. May assist with billing as requested., • Reconcile bank statements., • Assist with payroll entry into payroll system and ensure that payroll journal entries are accurate and entered in a timely manner., • Ensure that quarterly and year end payroll tax reports and documents are processed and filed., • Maintain vendor and other third party consultants and payees have accurate information in the system including address, phone, email and W-9s., • Process year end 1099s and complete 1096 and ensure they are signed and filed appropriately and on time., • Coordinate accuracy of accounting system with external CPA or equivalent tax professional., • Follow all state and federal tax codes and regulations., • Monitor checking and saving balances in bank., • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner., • Other duties as assigned. Experience Level Entry Level Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hillsboro, OR. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $38.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
