Dayton offers a vibrant community, affordable living, and beautiful parks—making it an ideal location for travel nurses seeking rewarding healthcare jobs in Ohio.\n \n\nTravel Nursing Job Details\n\n • Location: Dayton, Ohio (45409) – Ohio nursing jobs\n, • Facility Type: Level 1 Trauma Center, Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)\n, • Assignment Type: Travel RN Contract\n, • Start Date: December 8, 2025\n, • End Date: March 9, 2026\n, • Contract Duration: 13 weeks\n, • Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:30)\n, • Weekly Hours: 36 or 48 (OT paid after 48 hours for 48-hour contracts)\n, • Estimated Weekly Salary: $1800 - $1840\n, • Patient Ratio: 1:2\n, • Unit Size: 36 beds, average daily census ~33\n, • Scrub Color: Navy Blue\n, • Floating: May float to nearby campuses (Centerville, Englewood)\n, • Weekend/Holiday Coverage: Required (every other weekend/holiday)\n\n\nCVICU RN Job Requirements\n\n, • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license from any state (must obtain Ohio RN license before start)\n, • Minimum 1 year of recent CVICU nursing experience required\n, • Level 1 Trauma Center experience preferred\n, • BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required\n, • Must pass online EKG/tele competency assessment prior to start\n, • EPIC charting experience required\n, • Proficient with A-Lines, ventilators, IV drips, sheaths, dialysis, and drawing ABGs\n, • Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)\n, • Travel nursing experience preferred (first-time travelers welcome)\n\n\nCVICU RN Responsibilities\n\n, • Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with complex cardiac conditions (STEMI/NSTEMI, heart failure, sepsis, respiratory failure, valve stenosis/insufficiency, AFIB, chest pain, DVT, cardiac arrest, cardiogenic shock)\n, • Operate and manage advanced cardiac equipment: chest tubes, temporary pacers, CRRT, ECMO, Impella, EKOS, arterial lines, central lines, BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula\n, • Interpret and manage cardiac drips, vasoactive drips, and IV insulin protocols\n, • Perform and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and dysrhythmias\n, • Support post-operative cardiac surgery recovery, including open heart and valve replacement/repair\n, • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, social services)\n, • Float to other units as needed and adapt to various patient care assignments\n We believe in empowering your career.
