Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Interventional Radiology Technologist, • Discipline: Allied Health Professional, • Start Date: 03/16/2026, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 40 hours per week, • Shift: 10 hours, days, • Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview • Shift: Days, 4x10hrs, • Hours: 40 hrs/wk, • Start Date: Mar 16, 2026, • Length: 13 weeks, • Interventional Radiology unit in a community hospital setting, with teaching hospital experience preferred, • Procedures include abdominal/pelvic angioplasty, embolization, chest tube placement, genitourinary studies, gastrostomy, nephrostomy, percutaneous stone extraction, biliary drainage, and renal/ureteral stent placement, • Neurological procedures include carotid angiography, embolization, stent placement, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, and vertebroplasty, • Vascular procedures include TIPS, carotid stenting, central venous access/port placement, dialysis graft creation/revision, fistulograms/declots, endovascular interventions, and upper/lower extremity angiography, • Venous access procedures include non-tunneled central venous access, PICC lines, and port access/management, • Uses Epic EMR (experience required) and PACS system, • Day shift, 4x10-hour schedule from 6:00 AM–4:30 PM or 6:30 AM–5:00 PM, Monday through Thursday, • Rotating call requiredRequirements, • Minimum of 3 years of Interventional Radiology / Special Procedures experience required, • Valid Virginia or compact state license in hand at time of consideration — no exceptions; license required if applicable, • ARRT CI, BLS, and ACLS required, • ARRT R required, • Epic EMR experience required, • Neurovascular experience preferred, • Must be able to pass facility fit testing; PAPR cannot be accommodated — any history of fit test issues will disqualify a candidate, • No prior license or background hits will be accepted — any history will disqualify a candidate from consideration, • PDF copies of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration, • Two professional references required for considerationAdditional Information, • Responsibilities include equipment setup, accurate patient monitoring, EKG lead placement, access site preparation, recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias, room circulation, scrubbing/maintaining sterile field, and use of vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose), • Maintains equipment, manages inventory, and stocks supplies, • Applies isolation precautions/PPE and coordinates with Rapid Response/Code teams as needed, • First-time travelers will be considered for this position, • Candidates with a permanent address within 50 miles of the facility may still be considered for allied positions, • RTO requests must be submitted with the candidate profile and will be reviewed and approved on a per-case basis, • Approximately 3 hours of online modules are required to be completed prior to the start date With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
