American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Orange, California. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: 03/10/2026, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 36 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, nights, • ICU Float position at a 426-bed Magnet-designated acute care hospital, • High-acuity ICU patient population with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio, • Required to float between the ICU and Day Surgery Unit (DSU) as needed, • Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30, • Every other weekend required; may exceed to meet unit needs, • No on-call responsibilities, • Charting via Epic, • Free parking available on site, • First-time travelers are considered only with 3 or more years of ICU experience, • Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within California; refusal to float may result in assignment termination, • Scheduling requests related to outside employment will not be accommodated, • Travel pairs will not be considered for this position, • RTO must be submitted at the time of profile submission; excessive RTO requests may hinder the process, • Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility, • Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are subject to a local pay rate, • Royal blue scrubs required for RNs\n \n Requirements\n, • Active CA RN license required (pending license not accepted), • Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS, • Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required; 3 years highly preferred, • ICU experience within the last year is required, • High-acuity ICU experience highly preferred, • Epic EMR experience required, • At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting, • SSN and date of birth required for consideration\n Benefits\n, • High Pay and Bonuses, • Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options, • 401(k) Plan, • Weekly Payroll Deposit, • Free Online CEUs, • Generous Housing Allowance, • Travel and Licensure Reimbursements, • Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
