Join our healthcare team today and experience the vibrant culture, dining, and attractions of Indianapolis while working in a collaborative environment.\n \n\nPCU Nursing Job Details\n\n • Location: Indianapolis, IN 46202 – Prime downtown healthcare job location near parks, museums, and entertainment\n, • Unit: A5 South Neuro Trauma Surgical Progressive Care Unit\n, • Contract Type: Travel nursing contract\n, • Start Date: January 5, 2026\n, • End Date: April 6, 2026\n, • Duration: 13-week contract\n, • Shift: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (07:00 - 19:30)\n, • Hours per Week: 36\n, • Estimated Weekly Salary: $1660 - $1700\n, • Patient Ratio: 1:3-4 (occasionally 5 during emergencies)\n, • First Time Travel Nurses: Accepted\n, • Weekend Requirement: Flexible; 50% of weekends during contract\n, • Floating: Required within hospital and affiliate healthcare facilities\n\n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n\n, • Minimum 2 years of recent Progressive Care Unit (PCU) nursing experience\n, • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Indiana nursing jobs – license must be in hand prior to start date)\n, • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS\n, • Proficient neuro nursing experience and management of cardiac drips\n, • Telemetry experience required\n, • Previous charge nurse experience required\n, • Ability to float to Med-Surg, PCU, and ICU units\n, • Willingness to precept and mentor students\n, • Two supervisor references required\n, • Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program\n, • Local Indiana residents not eligible for this travel nurse position\n\n\nPCU Nurse Responsibilities\n\n, • Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with complex neuro and trauma diagnoses (CVAs, hydrocephalus, brain tumors, seizures, TBIs, post-surgical cases)\n, • Manage and monitor telemetry and neuro stepdown patients\n, • Administer and titrate cardiac drips, manage arterial and central lines, and provide wound care\n, • Perform pre- and post-neurosurgery care, manage feeding tubes, lumbar drains, and surgical drains\n, • Interpret and manage dysrhythmias\n, • Float to Med-Surg, PCU, and ICU units as needed\n, • Participate in charge nurse duties and provide leadership\n, • Support and mentor students and new staff in a teaching hospital environment\n We believe in empowering your career.
