American Traveler is seeking a travel MRI Technologist for a travel job in Boston, Massachusetts. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: MRI Technologist, • Discipline: Allied Health Professional, • Start Date: ASAP, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 36 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, days, • Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview • Shift: Days, 3x12hrs, • Hours: 36 hrs/wk, • Start Date: Mar 2, 2026, • Length: 13 weeks, • Work in a hospital radiology MRI unit, • Primary responsibility for cardiac MRI studies along with a variety of body part imaging, • Utilize GE and Siemens 1.5T and 3T scanners, • Epic EMR experience required, • 12-hour day shifts; open to 8 or 10-hour shifts if preferred, • Weekend work required, • No local travelers accepted; must live outside a 50-mile radius, • Position is 13 weeks in lengthRequirements, • ARRT certification required, • BLS certification (AHA) required, • Minimum of 2 years of related MRI experience required, • Demonstrated proficiency in cardiac MRI procedures required, • Experience working independently in a fast-paced imaging environment required, • Epic experience required, • MA license required if applicable, • Proof of COVID vaccination and booster, and seasonal flu vaccine required prior to start (medical exemptions allowed), • Must not have worked at any BILH facility in the previous 6 monthsAdditional Information, • Prepare and position patients for MRI procedures, including setting up coils and monitoring devices, • Screen patients and personnel for ferrous metal and contraindications, • Select and implement appropriate pulse sequences and document all protocols, • Evaluate scan quality and complete image processing for PACS, • Start IV lines for patients requiring contrast, monitor for reactions, and escalate issues appropriately, • Participate in training and education for MRI students and colleagues, • Observe and report patient conditions, address patient questions, and provide timely procedure explanations, • Maintain accurate procedure and billing records according to departmental requirements, • Must pass Tele/ECG and Medication tests if assigned to Milton or Plymouth locations, • All time off requests must be disclosed at time of consideration, • Scrubs or dress code requirements not specified With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
