Responsibilities of a Health Information Manager: This position provides professional expertise on health information, documentation, and medical record issues. The role supports our Long-term Care, Assisted Living, and Transitional Rehab neighborhoods. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, functioning as the key resource for electronic clinical records, HIPAA, accurate diagnosis coding, reviews and verifies insurance for admissions, attends Medicare A and Triple Check meetings, ensures compliance with regulations, and manages clinical record systems and indexes. Candidates should have credentials as an RHIA or RHIT, experience in long-term care, knowledge and application of Medicare and Medicaid payment systems, and ICD-10 coding. Candidates must also have a genuine passion for serving others, must embrace and successfully contribute to the interdisciplinary team, have excellent clinical, leadership, organizational, and communication skills, while upholding outstanding relationships with residents, representatives, and the care team.
