Midland offers the best of West Texas living, with friendly neighborhoods, local parks, shopping, and cultural attractions—making it an ideal location for your next travel RN assignment. • Location: Midland, Texas 79701, • Healthcare Setting: Labor & Delivery Unit, • Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN), • Start Date: November 10, 2025, • End Date: March 2, 2026, • Contract Duration: 16 weeks (minimum 13 weeks considered), • Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:00), • Hours per Week: 36, • Estimated Weekly Salary: $2100 - $2250, • Patient Ratios: 2:1, • Unit Size: 10 beds, • Orientation: 36 hours, • Holiday Coverage: Must work one holiday (eve and day), • Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse experience, • Previous Charge RN experience required, • Active Texas RN license or compact state license (pending license accepted, must be active before start), • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, NIHSS, • AWHONN Advanced and Intermediate, Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) preferred, • Experience with Cerner charting preferred, • Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions allowed), • Ability to rotate through triage, antepartum, labor, circulate, and transition (no postpartum), • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns in a clinical setting, • Rotate through triage, antepartum, labor, circulate, and transition areas as needed, • Assist with high-risk deliveries, C-sections, and vaginal births, • Perform and interpret APGAR scores, fetal heart monitoring, and non-stress tests (NSTs), • Administer medications including antihypertensives, magnesium sulfate, insulin drips, and Pitocin, • Support breastfeeding and lactation, provide fundus, lochia, and perineum care, • Manage epidural and general anesthesia cases, • Respond to postpartum hemorrhage, shock, and obstetric emergencies, • Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner EMR GHR Healthcare Job ID #420429.
