Automotive Claims Representative Why This Role Is a Great Transition from the Shop or Dealership If you have experience working in an automotive dealership, repair shop, or service department and are looking to move into a , this role allows you to apply your automotive knowledge without the physical demands of the shop floor. You'll use your understanding of vehicle systems, diagnostics, repairs, and warranties to support customers and dealers while working regular hours in a collaborative office setting. Position Overview The Automotive Claims Representative supports customers and automotive dealers by reviewing and resolving vehicle service contract (VSC) claims. This role combines customer service, problemsolving, and automotive expertise to evaluate coverage, repairs, and claim eligibility. Representatives handle a high volume of inbound calls and work closely with dealerships, repair facilities, and inspection partners to make informed decisions on automotive repairs. What You'll Do • Handle 35+ inbound calls per day from dealers and customers regarding vehicle service contracts, • Apply your automotive knowledge to review diagnostics, repair recommendations, and service contract coverage, • Evaluate and manage complex, highdollar repair claims with accuracy and professionalism, • Explain coverage, exclusions, policies, and procedures in a clear, customerfriendly manner, • Work directly with dealership service departments, independent repair facilities, and inspection companies, • Analyze claim details, labor operations, part applications, and flatrate time configurations, • Accurately document claim activity and call notes while multitasking across multiple systems, • Process contract cancellations and correspondence in a timely and accurate manner, • Collaborate with a team of claims professionals in a structured corporate environment, • Automotive dealerships (service advisor, warranty administrator, technician, service manager), • Independent automotive repair shops, • Strong customer service and problemresolution skills, • Ability to multitask and work across multiple computer systems, • Attention to detail and willingness to receive coaching, • Clear, professional verbal and written communication skills, • Ability to analyze repair information and make sound decisions, • 5+ years of automotiverelated experience, such as:, • Dealership service or warranty operations, • Independent repair shop experience, • Vehicle service contract or claims processing, • Associate degree in Automotive Technology or ASE Certification (preferred, not required), • Previous leadership or mentoring experience, • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, • Understanding of automotive diagnostics, repair procedures, and labor operations, • Experience reviewing service contract coverage, part numbers, and repair eligibility, • One weekday off during weeks that include a Saturday shift, • 5:55 AM - 2:55 PM, • 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM, • 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, • Saturday: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, • New hires typically start on a midshift, • A stable, professional office environment, • Consistent schedule and predictable hours, • Opportunity to move away from physical shop work, • Career growth within automotive claims and corporate operations, • Medical, dental & vision, • Critical Illness, Accident, and Hospital, • 401(k) Retirement Plan - Pre-tax and Roth post-tax contributions available, • Life Insurance (Voluntary Life & AD&D for the employee and dependents), • Short and long-term disability, • Health Spending Account (HSA), • Transportation benefits, • Employee Assistance Program We're partners in transformation.
