Job Description Maintenance Technician- $28-$40/hr DOE! This position is a direct hire opportunity! Integrity Trade Services is hiring a Maintenance Technician for our corrugated packaging client to start immediately at $28-$40/hr DOE! Receive comprehensive benefits through our client upon hire! Responsibilities: Champion of electrical, plumbing, pneumatic & mechanical repairs, including execution of preventative & predictive maintenance programs, installation of new equipment, and upgrades of plant facilities and equipment. • Execution of machine repair, preventative & predictive maintenance programs, new equipment installation, and modification and/or upgrade of facilities and equipment. Effectively works in a team setting or individually., • Visually inspects and listens to machine and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions., • Dismantles equipment and removes parts for repair using hand tools, power tools, chain falls, jacks, cranes, and or hoists., • Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems., • Lubricate or apply adhesives or other materials to machines, machine parts, or other equipment, according to specified procedures., • Installs, replaces, or changes machine parts and/or attachments, according to engineering specifications., • Locates damaged air and hydraulic pipes/lines on machines, measures, cuts, threads and installs new pipe., • Sets up and operates tools such as drill press, grinder, welding equipment, ect, to make or repair parts., • Starts machines and other equipment to test operation or repairs completed., • Read work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair, maintenance or service., • Record maintenance and repair information in a CMMS system or recording spread sheet., • Test faulty equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using test equipment and software, and applying knowledge of the functional operation of electronic units and systems., • Inspect components of industrial equipment for accurate assembly and installation and for defects such as loose connections frayed or damaged wires., • Examine work orders and effectively communicate with equipment operators to detect equipment problems and to ascertain whether mechanical, electrical or human errors contributed to the reported problem., • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks, such as checking, cleaning, repairing and/or lubricating equipment to detect and prevent breakdowns., • Study blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications to determine installation procedures., • Set up and test industrial equipment to ensure that it functions properly., • Repair and adjust equipment, machines, and defective components, replacing worn parts such as gaskets and seals in watertight electrical equipment., • Maintain equipment logs that record performance problems, repairs, calibrations, and tests., • Calibrate testing instruments on installed or repaired equipment to prescribed specifications., • Supports improved designs, methods, and equipment/facilities modifications to enhance plant operational effectiveness and safety., • Participates in the development and execution of preventative & predictive maintenance programs., • Develops and administers training programs for the purpose of upgrading and improving troubleshooting and effective repair skills of the electrical, mechanical, machining, and other maintenance personnel., • Interprets company policies for direct reports and serves as a role model in the fair and consistent administration of all policies and procedures., • Maintains a high level of department safety and housekeeping, as well as encourages a high level of morale and participation., • Follows and complies with all Operational Procedures and Policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook. Schedule/Shift Details: Monday-Friday schedule with some Saturdays, as needed. • One opening on 2nd shift, start times that vary between 4PM-10PM., • Also one opening on 1st shift, start times that vary between 6AM-10AM., • Education: High School Diploma or GED (required)., • 3.5+ years of experience in the corrugated or packaging industry (strongly preferred)., • Familiarity with motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and PLCs., • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities., • Proficiency with hand tools, trade tools, and basic electrical systems., • Attention to detail and ability to make precise adjustments to equipment., • Some Welding skills MIG/TIG/ARC., • Mechanical aptitude and ability to follow verbal and written instructions., • Dependability, reliability, and a commitment to safety., • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently when needed., • Willingness to work various shifts, mandatory overtime, and weekends as required., • Capable of performing changeovers and operating all production line positions. Employee is eligible for dental, life, and supplemental benefits the 1st of the month following 90 days of employment. Vacation: 5 day vacation within 1 calendar year.
