Job Description Demand Planning & Inventory Analyst Pay: $75,000 - $80,000 first year annual salary based on experience Position Summary This is a newly created role within our Supply Chain organization. The Demand Planning & Inventory Analyst serves as the connective tissue between our buyer group, customer service team, international operations, and finance — translating demand signals into inventory decisions and ensuring the right product is in the right place at the right time. They will own the backorder process and will be the front-facing liaison to our customer service team. The role sits at the intersection of planning, operations, and customer service and requires strong cross-functional communication. This role also has a clear path to expanded ownership in analytics and supply chain strategy. Key Responsibilities 1. Inventory Management & Positioning • Manage inventory positioning across all five PowerPak distribution centers, including DC transfers, • Own the end-to-end backorder process— providing timely updates to customer service, performing root cause analysis, and serving as the key liaison between supply chain and customer-facing teams, • Track hot inbound shipments and coordinate on priority receiving; maintain visibility into in-transit inventory and proactively flag risks, • Conduct regular excess and slow-moving inventory identification to support DOH reduction goals 2. Demand Forecasting & Planning • Play a key role in the demand forecasting process, partnering with buyers to ensure inputs reflect sales trends, seasonality, and known demand drivers, • Maintain and support item data maintenance parameters to ensure system accuracy and planning integrity, • Monitor forecast accuracy by vendor, category, and SKU — identify and correct systematic biases, • Lead the monthly forecast review cadence, with potential to expand into a formalized S&OP process 3. KPI Analytics & Reporting • Build and maintain the Supply Chain KPI dashboard covering linefill rate, Days on Hand (DOH) vs. target, forecast accuracy, lead time variability, and freight cost per unit, • Produce weekly and monthly performance summaries for the supply chain team and executive stakeholders, • Use NetSuite to extract, validate, and analyze inventory and purchasing data 4. Cross-Functional & Operational Support • Serve as a key liaison between supply chain, customer service, our international team, and finance, • Coordinate closely with international team on data hygiene, PO accuracy, and reporting, • Serve as the escalation point for AP discrepancies, collaborating with Finance to resolve invoice mismatches, quantity disputes, and pricing variances Required • 3+ years in supply chain, demand planning, inventory management, or a closely related analytical role, • Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets — pivot tables, VLOOKUP/INDEX-MATCH, data modeling, • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain operational dashboards and reporting tools, • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills — comfortable working with large, imperfect datasets, • Clear communicator who can translate data into decisions for buyers and leadership, • Hands-on experience with demand planning or inventory optimization software (Netstock or similar strongly preferred), • Experience with NetSuite or a comparable ERP system, • Background in distribution or wholesale supply chain environments Analytical Rigor | Operational Urgency | Systems Thinker | Cross-Functional Communication | Continuous Improvement About Our Supply Chain Team We are a lean, high-accountability team managing inventory across five distribution centers, operating with NetSuite and Netstock.
