Job Description Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Technician Job Description This role is responsible for performing preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on production machinery, blow mold equipment, and facility systems in a high-volume manufacturing environment. The Industrial Maintenance Technician ensures equipment operates safely and efficiently, supports continuous production, and collaborates closely with operations and leadership to maintain optimal processing conditions across the plant. Responsibilities • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery, blow mold equipment, and facility systems to minimize downtime and extend equipment life., • Install, adjust, and repair blow mold machines, trimmers, palletizers, conveyors, and other related production equipment., • Perform mold and neck tooling changes, as well as pin and other equipment changeovers, to support production requirements., • Inspect, repair, and replace pneumatic and hydraulic hoses to maintain safe and reliable operation., • Inspect, rebuild, and replace valves, pumps, motors, and related components as needed., • Maintain all machines in optimal processing condition through regular inspection, adjustment, and repair., • Weld, fabricate, and repair various machine parts and structures to support maintenance and improvement activities., • Troubleshoot and locate root causes of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on blow mold machines, baggers, and support equipment, and complete effective repairs., • Perform electrical troubleshooting, including work on three-phase systems and motors, in accordance with safety and plant standards., • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and equipment documentation to diagnose and resolve equipment issues., • Perform preventive maintenance tasks on all related equipment according to established schedules and procedures., • Operate blow mold or injection machines when required to support production and verify proper equipment operation after maintenance., • Communicate frequently with other departments, including production and supervision, to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize production disruption., • Follow all corporate and plant safety standards, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations issued by regulatory agencies., • Adapt duties based on specific plant equipment and facility design, recognizing that tasks may differ between locations., • Receive instructions on specific job tasks from a Lead Industrial Maintenance Technician or Supervisor and seek guidance on unusual or complex problems., • Complete other maintenance and facility-related duties as assigned by management., • Proven experience as an industrial maintenance technician or similar maintenance role in a production or manufacturing environment., • Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems., • Hands-on experience performing preventive maintenance on production machinery and related equipment., • Ability to install, adjust, and repair blow mold machines, trimmers, palletizers, and related equipment., • Proficiency in inspecting, rebuilding, and replacing valves, pumps, and motors., • Working knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics, including hose inspection and replacement., • Ability to perform electrical troubleshooting, including work with three-phase power systems., • Experience with PLC troubleshooting at a basic level to support equipment diagnostics., • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and equipment schematics., • Skilled in welding, fabrication, and repair of machine components., • Capability to troubleshoot and repair blow mold machines, baggers, conveyors, and support equipment., • Effective communication skills to coordinate with other departments and share maintenance information clearly., • Demonstrated commitment to following safety procedures and regulatory requirements in an industrial setting., • Physical ability to regularly stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel parts and tools, and reach with hands and arms., • Physical ability to occasionally climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl to access equipment., • Experience operating blow mold or injection molding machines to support production and verify repairs., • Experience working in high-speed industrial or manufacturing operations., • Comfort working under guidance from a Lead Industrial Maintenance Technician or Supervisor while also taking initiative to solve problems., • Ability to adapt to varying equipment configurations and plant designs., • Strong problem-solving mindset with a focus on identifying root causes and implementing long-term solutions., • Entrepreneurial and disciplined approach to work, with a focus on continuous improvement and ownership of results. Work Environment This position is based in a production plant environment with frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts and active manufacturing equipment. You regularly stand, walk, use your hands to handle tools and components, and reach with your hands and arms throughout the shift. At times, you climb or balance on equipment and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl to access hard-to-reach areas. The facility’s temperature can fluctuate between hot and cold depending on seasonal conditions, and you work in close proximity to blow molding machines, baggers, conveyors, palletizers, and related industrial equipment. Work typically involves the use of standard maintenance tools, welding and fabrication equipment, and diagnostic instruments for mechanical and electrical troubleshooting. Safety procedures, protective equipment, and adherence to plant guidelines are integral parts of the daily work environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Atlanta, GA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
