Job Description Schedule: Monday – Friday Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM Job Type: Temp to Hire Job Summary: We are seeking a bilingual Benefits Coordinator to assist producers with client communications, benefit plan management, and policy servicing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with insurance carrier systems, strong communication skills, and an active California Life & Health License. Key Responsibilities: * Support producers in preparing proposals, presentations, and client communications. * Deliver policy and plan documents accurately and on time. * Manage and process benefit plan changes, including additions, deletions, and corrections. * Maintain deep knowledge of benefit plan coverage, eligibility, and structure to confidently assist subscribers. * Communicate with third-party vendors regarding COBRA administration and client requests. * Regularly follow up with clients to assess changes that may impact coverage or benefits. * Utilize carrier agent portals such as Kaiser, Health Net, Anthem, Blue Cross, Blue Shield, Cal Choice, Warner Pacific, and United Healthcare. * Ensure all documentation and client interactions comply with applicable regulations. Job Requirements: * Active California Life & Health License (required). * Bilingual in English and Spanish (required). * Proficiency with EASE, Sagitta, and/or AMS 360 systems. * Experience using carrier agent portals (Kaiser, Health Net, Anthem, etc.). * Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Adobe PDF. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Strong understanding of life insurance and employee benefits. * Ability to clearly explain complex coverage details and assist beneficiaries with sensitivity. * High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred. * Previous insurance or sales experience preferred. The Role Itself: A Technical Assistant at USG plays a crucial role in providing administrative and technical support to insurance professionals. Responsibilities include: • Correspondence with agents or carriers for additional information needed and handling renewal reminder letters., • Requesting company-issued endorsements., • Prepping files., • Binding in the Binding Portals and processing completely through our in-house system., • Consistently demonstrate a professional, positive, team-oriented attitude while performing job duties., • Invoicing and typing Brokerage Endorsements., • Provide the technical and administrative assistance required to support the attainment of stated office-wide objectives in conjunction with service standards., • At least 1 year of prior insurance experience, prior experience should include either wholesale brokerage/MGA, retail insurance agency, or insurance company experience., • Knowledge of Windows-based software applications and basic typing skills., • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively., • Knowledge of basic P&C insurance, forms, endorsements, rating methods, and terminology is preferred.
