Job DescriptionJob Title: Assembler Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Assembler for our South Bend, IN location. This role involves working at heights and on ladders, focusing on assembling sheet metal components while adhering to quality and safety standards. The position requires teamwork, and construction experience is highly beneficial. Responsibilities • Fasten joints and seams in sheet metal using fasteners and drivers., • Ensure work meets quality specifications and safety guidelines., • Screw sheet metal panels together and install insulation., • Utilize power tools such as drills, grinders, and plasma cutting equipment., • Lay out, measure, and mark dimensions and reference lines on materials., • Use a calculator and tape measure for accurate measurements., • Fasten seams and joints with bolts, rivets, caulks, and metal drive clips., • Drill holes in metal for screws, bolts, and rivets., • Assemble and fit pre-fabricated parts to form subassemblies., • Experience with assembly, sheet metal, hand tools, and power tools., • Mechanical assembly skills., • Ability to read blueprints and tape measures., • Experience in installation assembly, fabrication, construction, and sheet metal fabrication., • Previous mechanical assembly experience, particularly in building large equipment., • Experience in construction, including carpentry, drywall, and metal roofing., • Proficiency in using power tools like drills, grinders, impacts, and saws. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
