Your Impact The Advanced MCE Wind Technician in the Main Component Exchange (MCE) division will act as a lead team member to support and supervise field work on-site focusing on Safety, Quality, and Efficiency. Deep platform expertise across Vestas, Acciona, and Siemens Gamesa systems required, including advanced diagnostics, major component exchange leadership, and site-level technical decision authority. The position is 100% travel. Core Responsibilities • Lead team members by supporting lifting operations of equipment at heights over 250'., • Oversee lifting operations following skills verification of large components and ability to create, review, correct, and amend lifting plans., • Conduct safe and efficient repairs to all Wind Turbine electrical systems., • Perform Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) of equipment as an Authorized Person., • Conduct pre-task planning, Job Hazard Analysis (JHAs), and Risk Assessments (RAs), and daily safety discussions., • Interact with vendors and customers in a professional manner. Core Experience • Minimum of 5 years of direct product experience on Vestas, Acciona or Gamesa Platforms., • Direct turbine specific experience is required., • Ability to read and interpret schematics by various Wind Turbine manufacturers., • Main Component Exchange (MCE) experience required with additional knowledge in lifting operations., • Hold specific turbine manufacture certifications., • Detailed knowledge and skill in generators, converters, controllers, and electrical equipment., • Ability to recognize potential issues and major faults., • Ability and willingness to climb a wind turbine vertically at least 300 feet., • Maintain a weight between 120 and 280 pounds, including clothing and boots, for OSHA safety compliance., • Lift and move equipment as needed (more than 50 pounds).
