Job Description A healthcare organization in New Hartford is seeking two Board-Eligible, Board-Certifiable, or Board-Certified Rheumatologists to join a collaborative medical team that provides specialized care for patients with autoimmune and musculoskeletal conditions. This opportunity offers a supportive clinical environment, access to modern diagnostic resources, and strong collaboration with primary care providers and specialists. Position Overview The Rheumatologist will diagnose and manage a wide range of rheumatic and autoimmune disorders. The role will primarily involve outpatient care, with the opportunity to work closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide comprehensive treatment and long-term disease management. Key Responsibilities • Diagnose and treat autoimmune and inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, gout, and other connective tissue disorders, • Conduct patient evaluations, including medical histories and physical examinations, • Interpret laboratory tests and imaging studies related to rheumatologic conditions, • Develop individualized treatment plans, including medication management and biologic therapies, • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed, • Educate patients on disease management, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications, • Collaborate with primary care physicians and specialists to coordinate patient care, • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation, • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical collaboration Requirements General Requirements • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree, • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Rheumatology, • Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency program, • Completion of an accredited Rheumatology fellowship program, • Eligible for or able to obtain a New York medical license, • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, • Excellent communication and patient care abilities, • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment Preferred Qualifications, • Experience managing chronic autoimmune and inflammatory conditions, • Interest in collaborative patient care and long-term disease management, • Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care
