Job Description Litigation law firm seeks a paralegal to provide high-level litigation support for multiple attorneys. Candidate must have thorough knowledge of MS Word and Outlook (Excel and LEAP a plus), strong typing skills (at least 50 wpm), the ability to multitask, effective communication skills (both verbal and written), and a professional attitude. Candidate must possess excellent time management and organizational skills and produce a high-quality, timely work-product. Preferred candidates will possess an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree or have paralegal experience, training, or education. Compensation commensurate with qualifications and experience. Compensation: $45,000 - $55,000 depending upon experience Responsibilities: • Draft correspondence, pleadings, motions, and subpoenas;, • Communications with clients, opposing counsel, clerks of court, and others;, • Scheduling appointments, depositions, hearings, and trials;, • Managing and organizing files; and, • Assistance in trial preparation and presentation.Qualifications:, • Associate or Bachelor's degree OR paralegal experience, training, or education preferred; and, • Type 50 wpm or more. Job Description Job Type : Full time Job Description : We are seeking a motivated Traffic & Criminal Defense Attorney to join our expanding team. This is not a desk job. The attorney will be in court 3-4 days per week in General District Courts throughout Hampton Roads. This role is designed for someone who wants real courtroom experience and thrives in active litigation. If you prefer sitting behind a computer all week, this is not the position for you. Responsibilities : * Appear in court 3-4 days per week representing clients in traffic and misdemeanour criminal matters * Handle high-volume dockets efficiently and professionally * Argue motions and conduct bench trials when necessary * Negotiate directly with prosecutors * Prepare and file motions, pleadings, and correspondence * Review discovery and prepare cases for trial * Maintain organized case files and manage deadlines * Collaborate with firm leadership on case strategy * Note: Client consultations and intake are handled by firm leadership.
