Job Description We're seeking a responsible and experienced Seasonal FT Warehouse Worker/Delivery Driver (one role) to join our team at the McDonald Garden Center Hampton Distribution Center. We need ambitious and hardworking professionals who do not mind working in outdoor conditions. We prize safety, speed, and accuracy above all else, so we require Warehouse Workers/Drivers- who can pay careful attention on the job, follow instructions precisely and double-check his or her work before completing a task. The ideal candidate to have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record as well as present your MVR record from the DMV upon request. Warehouse Worker/Driver Responsibilities and Duties: -Load and unload merchandise from the distribution center and transport it to the designated location accurately and efficiently -Receive merchandise for return or delivery and verify its contents -Count and verify merchandise based on purchase orders -Identify damaged, lost or missing merchandise and notify supervisor immediately -Pack orders in an orderly manner and prepare merchandise for shipping -Treat merchandise with care and concern at all times -Train and support new employees as they are on-boarded -Load/Unload trucks- pricing and ticketing of product **Current forklift certification a plus Responsibilities: Operate a delivery truck to transport garden center products to customer and retail locations Load and unload products onto the truck Verify and report the condition of products before and after delivery Communicate with employees and stores to coordinate delivery times and locations Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck Maintain accurate delivery logs and reports Requirements: • High school diploma or equivalent -Ability to lift heavy objects (50+ pounds) repeatedly throughout the day as well as pushing/pulling movements -Good communication skills -Valid driver’s license -Previous warehouse experience -Ability to work weekends as needed **If you are a dedicated and reliable truck driver/warehouse worker, with a passion for providing excellent customer service, we would love to hear from you.
