Job Description Operations Associate Department: Operations Reports To: Operations Team Lead Employment Type: Full-Time Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM Location: In-office Starting Salary: $40,000-$52,000 About the Role We're seeking an enthusiastic Operations Associate to join our growing education services startup. This entry-level position is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, "whatever it takes" environment and wants to make a real impact supporting educators nationwide. You'll serve as our front-line support hero, helping teachers and school administrators while gaining valuable experience across multiple operational disciplines. What You'll Do Help Desk Support (35% of role): • Provide first-line technical support via Zendesk ticketing system and live chat, • Assist teachers and school administrators with software troubleshooting and technical questions, • Handle daily support tickets, • Escalate complex technical issues to appropriate team members, • Maintain detailed records of all customer interactions and resolutions Administrative Support (35% of role): • Perform data entry and maintain accurate records across multiple systems, • Support project management activities and logistical tracking, • Handle correspondence with internal teams and external partners, • Complete tasks as assigned across IT, project management, and general operations, • Assist with various operational initiatives as the company scales Travel (30% of Role): • Travel is required, • Support product deployment and setup, • Assist with curriculum installation, • Provide on-site support as needed What We're Looking For Required Qualifications: • Advanced Spanish communication skills required, • High school diploma or equivalent, • Proficiency with standard office software suites (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace), • Strong written and verbal communication skills, • Ability to code-switch communication style based on audience needs, • High level of empathy when working with frustrated or confused users, • Critical thinking skills and ability to problem-solve on the fly, • Comfort learning new software and processes quickly, • Ability to Travel, • Valid Driver’s License Preferred Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree, • Experience with ticketing systems (Zendesk preferred), • Previous customer service or technical support experience, • Possesses or is eager to develop an understanding of basic IT troubleshooting practices Essential Soft Skills: • Patience and empathy when supporting users with varying technical skill levels, • Adaptability and flexibility in a rapidly changing startup environment, • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, • Team player mentality with a "whatever it takes" attitude, • Ability to remain calm under pressure during peak support periods What We Offer • Full benefits include medical, dental, PTO, and 401k w/match, • Comprehensive training program to set you up for success, • Opportunity to grow within a scaling education technology company, • Direct mentorship and oversight from experienced operations team members, • Chance to make a meaningful impact in the education sector Our Team You'll be joining a core operations team of 6 dedicated professionals, with 4 team members based in your office location.
