Job Description Job Title: RME Mechanical & Robotics Maintenance Technician II Job Description This role supports the operations maintenance team by troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems within a fast-paced distribution environment. You will install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment, ensuring that all systems operate safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime. Responsibilities • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain material handling equipment to ensure consistent and reliable operation., • Inspect, service, and repair pneumatic systems used in automated packaging and distribution processes., • Install new automated packaging and distribution equipment according to technical specifications and safety standards., • Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical, robotic, and automation systems to reduce unplanned downtime., • Diagnose mechanical and basic electrical issues in equipment and implement effective corrective actions., • Use hand tools, power tools, and test equipment to complete repairs and adjustments on machinery and systems., • Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage accurately in maintenance tracking systems., • Follow established safety procedures and lockout/tagout practices while working on equipment., • Collaborate with operations and other maintenance team members to prioritize and complete work orders., • Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying recurring issues and suggesting maintenance or process improvements. Essential Skills • Hands-on experience maintaining and repairing material handling equipment in an industrial or distribution environment., • Practical knowledge of pneumatic systems, including troubleshooting and component replacement., • Ability to install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment., • Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, and basic test instruments for mechanical maintenance work., • Ability to read and follow equipment manuals, technical instructions, and safety procedures., • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues efficiently., • Capability to work safely around moving machinery and automated systems, adhering to all safety protocols., • Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and document maintenance activities clearly. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience working with robotics or automated material handling systems in a warehouse or manufacturing setting., • Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)., • Basic understanding of industrial automation concepts and controls as they relate to mechanical systems., • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple maintenance tasks., • Strong problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented approach to equipment maintenance and repair. Work Environment This position operates in a large, fast-paced distribution or fulfillment facility with extensive automated packaging and material handling systems. You will work around conveyors, sortation equipment, and pneumatic devices, frequently moving between different areas of the building to respond to maintenance needs. The role involves standing, walking, climbing, and working at heights or in tight spaces as needed to access equipment. Work may occur during varying shifts, including nights, weekends, or holidays, based on operational requirements. You will use standard maintenance tools and equipment and follow established safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and other protective measures, while working in an industrial environment Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Forney, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $32.50 - $32.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
