Job Description Maintenance Technician $29 - $35/hr | Plainfield, IN Responsibilities • Perform preventive maintenance activities, including scheduled inspections, calibrations, safety checks, lubrication, and component replacements to minimize equipment downtime., • Troubleshoot and repair industrial machinery such as motors, conveyor systems, folder gluers, presses, banders, bundlers, and printing equipment., • Install, relocate, and modify machinery and equipment as needed to support production requirements and process improvements., • Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems that use fluid pressure to operate machinery, including pumps, valves, cylinders, and related components., • Diagnose and repair pneumatic systems that use air pressure to operate machinery, including air lines, valves, actuators, and regulators., • Inspect, diagnose, and replace mechanical components such as bearings, belts, chains, gears, and drive systems to ensure smooth and reliable operation., • Maintain and troubleshoot conveyor systems, including belts, rollers, motors, and associated controls, to ensure proper material flow., • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot motor controls and variable frequency drives (VFDs), ensuring proper operation of three-phase motors and related electrical systems., • Diagnose and resolve issues with sensors and switches, including proximity sensors, limit switches, and photo eyes, to maintain accurate machine control and safety., • Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation to support accurate troubleshooting and repairs., • Perform electrical troubleshooting and repairs on three-phase power systems and industrial control circuits in a safe and efficient manner., • Use welding and basic fabrication skills as needed to repair or modify equipment and support maintenance projects., • Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage accurately to support maintenance planning and equipment history., • Collaborate with production and other team members to identify equipment issues, prioritize work, and support continuous improvement., • Experience in a corrugating or corrugated manufacturing environment is a strong plus., • Familiarity with folder gluers, presses, banders, bundlers, and printing equipment is highly beneficial., • Ability to work independently within a small team structure., • Comfort working from technical manuals, schematics, and equipment documentation., • Strong attention to detail and commitment to equipment safety and reliability., • Effective communication skills to collaborate with production and maintenance colleagues., • You will join a company that invests in its people through comprehensive benefits and long-term financial opportunities., • Employees receive medical insurance with a $0 deductible and $0 preventive care co-pays, along with dental and vision coverage to support overall well-being., • Flexible Spending Accounts for medical and dependent care help you manage out-of-pocket expenses more effectively., • A 401(k) plan with a competitive match supports your retirement planning, while bonus plans for all employees recognize and reward contributions to the organization’s success., • This role is based in a clean industrial facility on the second shift, working approximately 3:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays as needed., • The position includes a shift differential for second shift work., • You will be part of a small maintenance team and often work independently, handling a variety of tasks across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and conveyor systems.
