Job Description Summary of Position: Coordinates Assembly department activities within the facility with direction from the Production Group Leader. Assists in setting up standards of performance, measures progress, sets up and controls workflow and determines personnel needs based on production schedules and with the assistance of the Production Group Leader. Corporate: • Adheres to the HTGSS policies and procedures, • Learns, demonstrates and upholds HTGSS Core Values, • Complies with all HTGSS Certification standards; Management System (TS16949), Environmental ISO 14001-2015 and Health and Safety ISO 45001-2018 policies and procedures, • Treats all HTGSS team members with respect and professional courtesy, • Always strives to maintain a positive work environment, • Manages the department budget efficiently as per approved annual budget, • Performs additional assignments / duties as assigned EHS: • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, • Complies with all safety policies and 5S clean philosophy to maintain a safe, clean working environment, • Meets company safety goals Duties and Responsibilities: • Accountable for the daily output of production for the assembly department, • Assist with directing and coordinating production, processing and distribution within the assembly department, • Review processing schedules and production orders to make decisions concerning staffing requirements, work procedures, and duty assignments, • Review production or processing issues with the Production Supervisor as needed, • Work with Production Group Leader in setting and monitoring product standards, examining samples of raw products or directing testing during processing, to ensure finished products are of prescribed quality, • Confer with Team Members to coordinate operations and activities within departments., • Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals, • Assist in production tracking and quality control systems, analyzing production, quality control, maintenance, and other operational reports, to detect production problems, • Maintain environmental, health and safety programs., • Demonstrate equipment operations and work and safety procedures to new employees or assign employees to experienced workers for training., • Provides direction, development and leadership to floor associates, • Monitor assembly operations and able to recognize defective parts, • Material handling functions as required, • Perform layered audit and quality checks, • Ensure 5-S is adhered to properly, • Track parts and scrap, • Follow processes and procedures associated with the assembly area, • Write production reports if needed, • Performs any variety of operations within the group to maintain flow of work Reporting: • Reports to Production Group Lead
