Job Description Our client is a top national Interiors Subcontractor looking to hire a Project Manager experienced in Drywall to be based out of their Orlando, FL office! As a Project Manager, you will be tasked with development of estimates for commercial projects, managing subcontractors, prepare material estimates and cost estimates for the product and/or service, and use bid data to prepare detailed cost analysis. You should have a strong understanding of construction operations and processes. It is important to be able to delegate duties to teams effectively and resolve any issues that may arise. Requirements • High School diploma with proven experience, or associated degree with experience., • 8+ years of drywall estimating, • Experience with On-screen Takeoff / Quick Bid or similar estimating software, • Familiarity with formal procurement and submittal processes such as RFQ, RFI, RFP What You’ll Do • Support process improvement program for tools and metrics to measure cost estimate accuracy, man-hour estimates to actuals, speed accuracy and cost to develop estimates, and ensure evolve estimate precision based on historical project estimates vs. actuals., • Determining what factors of production will influence the cost of a service and/or product., • Prepare material estimates and cost estimates for the product and/or service., • Support cost estimating tools and databases to ensure estimates are well documented and updated based on project actuals., • Ability to present estimates to management in the review process. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing and managing costs associated with the manufacturing and distribution of HVAC and refrigeration equipment. This role will play a key part in ensuring cost efficiency, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting strategic business decisions. Experience with QuickBooks is required. Key Responsibilities: Maintain and analyze cost accounting systems and processes for manufacturing and distribution operations. Develop and oversee standard cost models. Monitor inventory valuation and ensure accurate reporting of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods. Analyze variances between standard and actual costs, providing insight into production efficiency and cost savings opportunities. Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports related to cost analysis. Conduct cost-benefit analysis for new products, capital investments, and operational improvements. Support pricing strategies by providing detailed cost breakdowns and margin analysis. Work closely with production, procurement, and logistics teams to improve cost control measures. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, financial regulations, and company policies. Assist in annual budgeting and forecasting processes. Participate in audits and provide necessary documentation for cost accounting procedures. Utilize QuickBooks to track financial transactions, generate reports, and maintain accurate cost records. Qualifications & Skills:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, inventory management, and financial analysis. Proficiency in QuickBooks, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.). Experience with HVAC and refrigeration equipment manufacturing is a plus. Excellent analytical skills with a high attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
