They assist with crew training, paperwork completion, recruiting, and finding additional business opportunities. Communicates with customers to identify covering and service needs and coordinates resources within their assigned area. Essential Duties: • Coordinate and assign daily work activities across multiple crews to ensure accurate and timely service to customers., • Communicate by phone with customers, management, and crew members., • Inform and assist management with any service, safety, or crew concerns., • Review and ensure the accuracy of work time, service locations, tasks performed, and equipment conditions used for payroll records, customer invoicing, and DOT., • Assist in managing the fleet of vehicles, equipment, and facilities including ensuring compliance with all DOT processes., • Provide crew direction as needed including tarp and silage installations and maintenance; tarp set- up and inspection; and loading and securing materials properly., • Implement procedures and recommends improvements in safety, production methods, equipment, operating procedures, and working conditions., • Find and inform management of potential business opportunities., • Make purchases for crew accommodations, meals, and supplies as needed., • Coordinate needed fleet repairs, maintenance, and needs with the Fleet Mechanic or management., • Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and ongoing training for all crew members., • Attend and participate in all departmental and safety, job specific required training and informational meetings., • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization with all company property., • Authority to question and take appropriate measures regarding the safety of themselves, other employees, products, service concerns, and equipment., • Action Oriented, • Balances Stakeholders, • Builds Networks, • Works well with others, • Communicates Effectively, • Customer Focus, • Directs Work, • Drives Results, • Financial Acumen, • Manages Ambiguity, • Manages Complexity, • Minimum of 1 year experience in covering of hay or equivalent agriculture experience., • Experience managing others preferred., • Ability to speak, read, and interpret documents in English such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
