Job DescriptionSalary: $25-$29/hr depending on experience Financial Coordinator Veterinary Hospital (Full-Time) Our veterinary hospital is seeking a detailoriented Financial Coordinator to support accurate billing, charge capture, and financial operations. This role ensures smooth invoicing, reconciliations, reporting, and communication with clients regarding outstanding balances. Schedule: MondayFriday, 9:00 AM5:00 PM Compensation: • 3 weeks paid time off, • Annual Uniform Allowance, • Paid Sick Leave in compliance with NY State, • Medical/dental/Vision, • Short & Long Term Disability, • Life Insurance, • GENEROUS Employee Pet Discount - 75%, • Invoice & Estimate Management, • Oversee creation of invoices and estimates., • Ensure invoice accuracy and proper charge capture., • Reconcile inpatient charges with estimates daily., • Request doctors to update estimates when invoices approach the high end of the estimate., • Financial Operations, • Complete cashier paperwork and making daily bank deposits., • Perform payment reconciliation, including unapplied credits/payments, Trupanion, and Scratch Pay transactions., • Address chargebacks and process statements with account interest., • Manage write-offs and bank reconciliations., • Collections & Communication, • Pursue payment collection on open invoices via phone, email, and postal mail., • Oversee overdue accounts and send to collections as needed., • Document all communications and financial updates in PIMS., • Reporting & Compliance, • Generate and review Cubex, Med, and Dx reports., • Oversee all diagnostic websites., • Validate all documents for appropriate signatures to ensure legal compliance., • Team & Rounds, • Attend morning rounds as needed., • Communicate financial updates to staff and management. Requirements • Education: High School diploma or GED required., • Experience:, • Minimum 1+ years in medical billing, transcribing, or coding., • 4 years of experience in a veterinary environment preferred., • Skills & Knowledge:, • Understanding of veterinary medical terminology and procedures., • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel., • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills., • Ability to multi-task with excellent written and verbal communication skills., • Physical Requirements:, • Ability to sit, walk, and stand for 8+ hours per day
