Job DescriptionSalary: Our Plantation-based law firm is seeking a knowledgeable and driven Title Manager to lead our Title Department within a high-volume foreclosure and real estate law practice. In this leadership role, youll oversee a team responsible for title review, curative work, document preparation, and recording processes across multiple states. What Youll Do • Departmental Leadership: Direct the daily operations of the Title Department, ensuring exceptional accuracy, swift turnaround times, and total compliance with client, investor, underwriter, and regulatory standards., • Team Development: Supervise, mentor, and foster the professional growth of our Title Examiners and administrative support personnel., • Title Assessment: Analyze title reports and commitments to identify and resolve issues regarding ownership, liens, encumbrances, easements, judgments, and chain-of-title gaps., • Curative Management: Oversee strategic title curative actions, including obtaining lien releases, satisfactions, corrective deeds, and managing formal title claims., • Government Portfolio Packages: Guarantee the precise preparation and submission of FHA and VA title packages alongside all foreclosure-related title deliverables., • Instrument Workflow Control: Manage the comprehensive workflow for Assignments of Mortgage (AOMs), Lis Pendens, Title Order Instruments, and related property filings., • Performance Metric Oversight: Monitor departmental KPIs, balance workload distribution, and enforce strict adherence to client SLAs., • Compliance & SOPs: Maintain up-to-date departmental procedures, operational documentation, and a state of constant audit readiness., • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with firm attorneys, paralegals, third-party vendors, and title underwriters to resolve complex title or document discrepancies effectively., • Client Interface: Represent the department in client conference calls, operational audits, and due-diligence evaluations.
