Job DescriptionDescription: Basic Purpose The basic purpose of the Certified Nursing Assistant is to provide personal care to residents; assist with activities and meals; perform any reasonable duties to provide comfort to residents and families in order to fulfill the mission of the community. Major Duties & Responsibilities I. Indirect Resident Care: • Greets and directs visitors., • Answers telephone calls., • Assumes responsibility for the cleanliness and neatness of resident rooms (including armoires, closets, nightstands and dresser drawers), storage rooms, and kitchen.), • Assists in maintaining an environment for the residents which is clean, orderly and attractive., • Provides necessary equipment at the resident’s bedside to meet his/her individual needs A. Assessment/Observation/Reporting • Notes any unusual physical or behavioral changes in the residents such as bruises, abrasions, rashes or reddened areas on the resident’s skin; or increased agitation, confusion, lethargy or other unusual behavior and reports these observations to the charge nurse in a timely manner., • Obtains vital signs (temperature, pulse, respirations and blood pressure) as requested by the charge nurse and reports/records as appropriate., • Measures intake and output accurately and records in the EMR., • Obtains accurate weights of residents as required. Notifies nurse if weight results are questionable., • Assists with or performs personal hygiene for the resident, including washing the face, hands and all personal areas., • Assists with or performs proper grooming for the resident such as combing and styling hair and helping resident to choose clean, appealing, and coordinating clothes, if necessary., • Assists the resident with a shower or total bed bath as instructed by the licensed nurse per bathing schedule. Baths offered when resident returns from hospital stay even if not on scheduled day. Hospice Residents are bathed by Lambeth House staff on the days that hospice does not bathe them., • Shaves the male resident daily if he is unable to shave himself., • Assists the resident to wash his/her face and hands before and after meals when necessary., • Assists or performs oral care for residents including brushing the teeth or dentures, properly labeling and storing dentures, using mouthwash or special procedures as instructed by the licensed nurse., • Assists designated residents to ambulate as instructed by the licensed nurse., • Transports residents by wheelchair or other means to locations within the Lambeth House community., • Assists residents to transfer from bed to chair, etc. using approved methods. One person lift transfers are not approved., • Repositions residents at least every two hours if resident cannot change position independently., • Repositions residents who are in bed at least every two hours., • Repositions residents who are up in the chair at least every two hours, e.g. assist to lie down or ambulate as instructed by the licensed nurse., • Assist residents to maintain proper body alignment., • Matches the resident with the proper diet before serving the meal., • Assists the resident at each meal to ensure an adequate nutritional intake, e.g. set up the meal & cut food into small pieces if necessary., • Feeds the resident who is unable to feed him/herself., • Records/reports the percent of each meal consumed., • Reports to the charge nurse when poor appetite and/or fluid intake are noted., • Ensures that fresh water is always available for the resident, unless otherwise instructed; passes ice and water on each shift., • Changes bed linens at pre-determined intervals and/or when linens are soiled., • Disposes of soiled linens and clothes promptly and properly to reduce unwanted odors., • Knows and follows policies and procedures related to infection control., • Immediately disposes of the contents of bedpans, urinals and/or commodes., • Always keeps resident room neat and clean; keeps bedside stand neat and items properly stored inside., • Clearly marks and properly stores personal belongings., • Properly marks and promptly forwards clothes to be laundered when soiled; hangs clothes neatly in the resident’s closet. Does not dress resident in clothes that are torn, has missing buttons or needs repairs of any kind., • Always fastens the resident’s call light within reach of the resident., • Knows and can carry out approved emergency procedures., • Assists residents to the toilet or commode per assignment and as requested. Toilets residents upon arising in AM, prior to and after meals, and at night., • Changes incontinent residents after every episode; performs adequate perineal hygiene for resident’s incapable of self-care., • Assists in the proper orientation of new CNA staff as assigned., • Completes documentation using EMR in a timely manner., • Attends required in-service meetings., • Utilizes time management to complete tasks routinely., • High school graduate or equivalent. Job Specific Duties: • Recognize and respond to the needs of Elders, • Promote autonomy of Elders in decision-making, • Maintain confidentiality and privacy of Elder care, procedures, and documentation, • Communicate with co-workers at all levels to meet the needs of Elders, • Meet with the Nurse and CSTMs as scheduled or needed to discuss Elders’ needs and progress in identifying and correcting problems, • Observe, monitor, and report to the Nurse any change in condition, • Document observed data per organization policy, • Assist Elders with personal care functions, including:, • Dental and mouth care, • Bathing, • Dressing and grooming, • Hair care, • Nail care, • Shaving, • Bowel and bladder care, • Other personal and hygiene care, • Assist with and/or perform restorative and rehabilitative procedures as outlined and assigned by the care plan and with appropriate training, • Measure and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respirations, weight, height, and anatomical dimension/circumference, • Assist moving, positioning and transporting Elders into and out of beds, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, lifts, etc., • Maintain a manual-lift free environment by utilizing the lift systems provided in the houses, • Assist with the application of slings, elastic bandages, binders, etc., • Provide range of motion exercises as outlined and assigned by the care plan and with appropriate training, • Prepare and serve meals, between meal, bedtime and other nutritional snacks per the posted menu and the stated preferences of the Elders, • Observe standard precautions per organizational policy, • Keep all areas of the home clean, performing routine housekeeping duties, • Make occupied and unoccupied beds and change bed linens, • Launder clothing, linen, and other articles, • Follow established safety precautions and observe, monitor, and intervene in or report to the Guide any unsafe conditions., • Assure Elder calls for assistance are answered promptly, • Report accidents and incidents when they occur, • Report any abuse or suspected abuse to the Guide and/or Administrator immediately, • Follow established smoking regulations and report violations, • Attend and participate in orientation programs, on-going training, and educational classes, • Perform other related duties as required by the Elder, • Seek counsel and assistance with problem solving from the Guide, • Assume Coordinator Roles (Team, Food, Housekeeping, Scheduling, Care), rotating positions at pre-determined intervals (See Care Partner Coordinator Roles), • Attend Team meetings, • Complete Quality Assurance Checklists and report on work and any identified areas of concern related to your accountabilities at Team meetings, • Work with SMWT to solve any unresolved household problems, • The SMWT makes decision by consensus, • Attend and participate in Elder Care Conferences providing observations, achievements and concerns about Elder in your care, • Work with the CST to problem solve issues, such as preventing Elder falls, • Participate in peer evaluations of co-workers, • Involved in interviewing and hiring new Care Partners, providing feedback to Guide, who makes the final hiring decision

Copper Vine Wine Pub & Inn is looking for a driven, experienced, and polished hospitality professional who desires to lead a complex operation, including a 260-seat restaurant, multiple event spaces, and an 11-room boutique hotel. The ideal candidate will be a multi-faceted professional, comfortable in a high-volume operation and ready to motivate, train, and develop the Copper Vine service team to ensure best-in-class hospitality. Operations Leadership Responsibilities • Oversees all aspects of Restaurant & Inn operations, including purchasing, quality standards, training and service, preparing and implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs) where appropriate., • Leads and hold Operations Team accountable, through consistent performance feedback and shift running, prioritizing scheduling to be here during peak business hours to oversee and support the operation as needed (GM closes one day per week to touch all areas of the operation), • Ensures Operations Team is aware of the daily sales forecast (as well as relevant internal and external events) to ensure ideal planning, scheduling and resourcing of all shifts through effective communication at all levels of the team., • Establishes and communicates weekly business priorities and training goals (1-Huddle and OTJ) to continuously improve team function and hospitality in all areas of the operation, • Ensures team members are consistently performing the standard touchpoints of the Restaurant and Inn Guest Journey, evaluating via weekly Hospitality Audits and Mock Service Assessments, • Maintains complete knowledge of all Operational Systems and software tools (Harri, Toast POS, Marqii, Cloudbeds, Salto, OpenTable, One Huddle, Tripleseat, A/V Systems, etc.), • Manages and oversees the Private Events business, ensuring seamless coordination between the FOH and HOH to deliver exceptional guest experiences while achieving revenue targets. Maintains close alignment with the Events Sales Manager to ensure accurate forecasting, staffing, and execution for all private and semi-private events. Business Management Responsibilities • Completes Weekly Sales & Labor Forecasting via intimate knowledge of the upcoming Convention Calendar, City-Wide Event Calendar (Sporting Events, Concerts, Theater, Festivals, etc.), • Produces Weekly Leadership Schedule and approves/denies all leadership time off requests, while overseeing team scheduling, • Responsible for labor, cost of sales and operating expense management within budgeted guidelines, • Completes weekly GM Workbook, accurately reviewing and reporting daily business KPI’s, formulating & implementing action plans when necessary, • Leads the weekly Copper Vine Manager’s meeting, attends staff pre-shifts, HOH manager meetings, and any other meetings (BEO, Inn Yield/Rate meeting, etc) as necessary to understand and ensure alignment on priorities throughout the operation, • Ensures all leaders conduct consistent pre-shift meetings with staff based on pre-determined and communicated priorities (shared in advance to leadership team via a pre-shift template), • Addresses guest feedback and collaborates with Marketing (via Marqii) to prioritize guest recovery for any neutral or negative reviews, • Maintains Copper Vine service scores on Open Table of 4.7, 4.25 for Yelp, and 4.5 for Google Qualifications: • 3-5 years’ experience as an Assistant GM, GM or Multi-Unit Manager in a high-volume, full-service polished, upscale, or fine dining concept with an average unit volume of $6M+ in annual sales. WSET certification, boutique hotel and banquet/event experience is preferred., • Experienced and comfortable with tracking KPIs (key performance indicators) and shrinking cost structure during slower months via scheduling changes, product ordering/pars, and operational expense mgmt., • Demonstrated passion to deliver radical hospitality through a genuine desire to be on the floor in the trenches with the team observing and supporting., • Loves talking with guests in the restaurant and Inn and has a proven ability to consistently find efficiencies that add value to the guest experience, while seamlessly dealing with adversity, both internal and external., • Stands out as a special communicator that has a desire and ability to connect with people from all walks of life. Can show it formally through best demonstrated meeting practices (operations leadership mtgs, weekly 1 on 1’s, pre-shift strategy, etc.) and informally by demonstrating an ease and desire to connect with all team members, vendors, and guests.
