Job DescriptionSalary: $80,000 - $120,000 This is a remote role, but eligible candidates must reside in one of the following states: IN, MI, IL, OH, KY, TN, MN, MA, FL, GA, PA Occasional travel is required once per year for our annual summit in Mishawaka, IN or to client engagements, up to 30% travel can be expected. The anticipated salary range for this position is $80,000 to $120,000, depending on experience and qualifications, while our internal pay band for this role extends up to $140,000. Pathfinders, a full-service integrated marketing agency, is seeking a Client Engagement Director who can deepen relationships, spark opportunities, and grow long-term partnerships. In this role, you wont just manage client conversations, youll lead the strategic engagements that move businesses forward. From immersions and onboarding to QBRs and annual planning, youll help clients connect their goals to the strategies that actually achieve them. Get to know us at pathfind.com What you will do, in greater detail: Client Growth and Expansion • Leads efforts to grow existing partnerships by identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities across active clients., • Shapes proposals and renewals into compelling, insight-driven stories that align agency expertise with client goals., • Oversees and leads Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and annual planning sessions, translating data and insights into action., • Measures client satisfaction and drives a proactive approach to retention, renewal, and expansion., • Ensures new clients are set up for success from day one through structured immersion sessions and onboarding processes., • Partners with department leads to define success metrics and align collaboration expectations early., • Builds and maintains account plans that connect client goals to agency strategy., • Identifies new service opportunities (digital, data, influencer, sustainability, or AI-driven insights)., • Anticipates client needs using market insights, competitive intelligence, and industry trends., • Builds strong, multi-level relationships across client organizationsfrom day-to-day contacts to C-suite leaders., • Serves as a trusted strategic partner and thought leader., • Mentors and develops the Client Engagement team, setting clear expectations and accountability to performance standards., • Models Pathfinders Core Values and promotes a culture of transparency, trust, and follow-through., • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop direct reports while fostering a high-performing team culture., • Attend all applicable required employee orientation, training, department quarterly meetings, and all-agency summits at PF headquarters. Overnight/weekend travel will be required for certain agency events, up to 30% travel can be expected., • Perform additional duties as assigned What wed like to see in a strong candidate: • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)., • 8+ years in a marketing or agency environment managing multimillion-dollar client relationships., • Proven success leading executive-level client conversations, renewals, and growth initiatives., • Demonstrated ability to mentor, lead, and develop high-performing teams., • Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills, • Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen, • High emotional intelligence and ability to read the room, • Skilled in negotiation, proposal shaping, and storytelling, • Strong understanding of omnichannel marketing (digital, media, creative, print), • Financial literacycomfortable discussing margins, scope, and profitability, • Excellent collaborator across departments and leadership levels, • Strong follow-through and accountability; delivers on commitments, • Adaptable and resilient under pressure; maintains professionalism in challenging situations What's in it for you?
