American Traveler is seeking a travel Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a travel job in Wilmington, North Carolina. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Nuclear Medicine Technologist, • Discipline: Allied Health Professional, • Start Date: ASAP, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 40 hours per week, • Shift: 8 hours, days, • Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview • Shift: Days, 5x8hrs, • Hours: 40 hrs/wk, • Start Date: Apr 29, 2026, • Length: 13 weeks, • Hospital and clinic setting serving adult and pediatric patient populations, • Nuclear Medicine and Nuclear Cardiology unit, • Patient ratio of 1:4, • Procedures include gastric emptying, HIDA scan, MUGA scan, bone scans (3-phase, limited, whole body), cerebral blood flow, liver/spleen imaging, lung scans (DTPA aerosol, perfusion, V/Q), renal flow studies (with Lasix), abdominal and ventricular shunt studies, thyroid studies (cancer survey, I-123 uptake), tumor localization, and SPECT imaging (bone, brain, liver, renal, sestamibi parathyroid), • Myocardial studies include adenosine infusion, exercise/rest-multiple day, and pharmacological stress testing, • Siemens equipment used, • Epic and Pyxis systems in use, • 5x8 hour day shifts, Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM, • Rotating night call required, • Every 3rd weekend required, • No float requirement, • 13-week contract minimum; longer contracts may be availableRequirements, • Minimum of 5 years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience, • ARRT(N) or CNMT certification required, • Proficiency in drawing venous blood, starting and maintaining IVs, isolation precautions/PPE, and storing, handling, and disposal of radioactive materials, • Experience with adult and pediatric patient populations, • First-time travelers will not be considered for this position, • License required if applicableAdditional Information, • Previous charge experience and Trauma Level I or II experience are preferred, • Orientation is 40 hours, • Royal blue scrubs required, • Local candidates are accepted With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
