We're looking for Billing Specialists who want their work to mean something — individuals who bring accuracy, accountability, and purpose to ensuring claims are processed correctly and patients experience clarity, not confusion, around their care. Why This Role Matters Billing accuracy and timeliness are essential to keeping patients on therapy and supporting a sustainable care model. The Billing Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring claims are submitted correctly, reimbursements are reconciled accurately, and payer requirements are met. In this role, you'll contribute to work that: • Helps patients maintain uninterrupted access to infusion care, • Supports clinicians and operations teams through reliable revenue cycle execution, • Ensures compliance with payer contracts and regulatory standards, • Prepare and submit insurance claims for home infusion services, including medications, nursing services, and supplies, • Verify documentation and coding accuracy prior to claim submission, • Process electronic pharmacy insurance claims with Medicare Part D, Medicaid, and commercial payers, • Ensure reimbursement data is accurate, complete, and entered timely prior to weekly and month‑end close, • Review payments received to ensure correct application and final account resolution, • Maintain a working understanding of payer contracts and reimbursement methodologies, • Respond to billing inquiries and resolve discrepancies with professionalism and clarity, • Stay current on payer guidelines, billing regulations, and reimbursement changes, • Work with clearinghouses and internal billing systems to support clean claims, • Assist with data entry, administrative support, and clerical billing tasks as needed, • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking, • A customer‑service mindset balanced with financial accuracy, • Comfort working in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment, • Clear written and verbal communication skills, • High school diploma or GED, • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in medical billing and collections, • Experience providing customer service to internal and external stakeholders, • Five (5) or more years of medical billing and collections experience, • Prior home infusion therapy billing experience Here, you'll find: • Purpose‑driven work that directly supports patient access to therapy, • A patient‑first, clinician‑led culture, • Collaborative finance, pharmacy, and operations teams, • Clear expectations and opportunities for growth While performing the duties of this position, the employee may occasionally be required to stand, walk, or sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee may also be required to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this role include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. OTHER REQUIREMENTS Employees are expected to: • Participate annually in required legal and ethical compliance training, • Consistently act in compliance with LUX Infusion's legal, ethical, and compliance policies, • Adhere to all standards and procedures outlined in the LUX Infusion Compliance Manual This role operates in a fast‑paced environment and requires the ability to prioritize competing demands, manage multiple tasks effectively, and seek guidance when appropriate.
