Job Description General Description The Consulting Business Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the design, implementation, and improvement in Medicaid IT initiatives, including MMIS enhancements and application lifecycle management (ALM) systems. This role involves working closely with clients to understand their needs, evaluate processes, and provide data-driven recommendations for improvements. You will bridge the gap between business requirements and technical solutions, ensuring successful project execution and client satisfaction. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience working within Medicaid or healthcare environments and proven success as the primary business analyst on system design and implementation projects. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Project Duties and Responsibilities, • Work with clients to gather, document, and analyze business requirements, identifying key challenges and opportunities for process improvement., • Conduct business process analysis and modeling to identify inefficiencies in Medicaid IT operations and develop process enhancements and implement best practices., • Collaborate with clients to design and implement healthcare applications including MMIS enhancements., • Facilitate meetings and workshops with stakeholders to elicit requirements, clarify needs, and present recommendations., • Perform data analysis to inform decision-making, providing insights on trends, patterns, and opportunities for growth or optimization., • Translate business requirements into technical specifications for development teams, ensuring alignment between client needs and delivered solutions., • Develop and maintain project documentation, including business process workflows, requirement specifications, and project status reports., • Provide ongoing support and training to clients to ensure successful implementation and adoption of new processes or systems., • Act as a liaison between clients, technical teams, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and project success., • Identify risks and propose mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions or delays., • Responsible for understanding and delivering assigned tasks, activities, and deliverables as planned and outlined within the broader context of the project, • Actively participates in the creation of project and client deliverables, • Accountable for the on-time quality of assigned deliverables and personal performance, • Managerial Responsibilities, • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field., • 6+ years of experience working within a Medicaid program or a healthcare related field., • 4+ years of experience in the design, development, and or/ implementation of a Medicaid, healthcare, and or/ data warehouse Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) system in the role of primary business., • Minimum number of years with business consulting to 3 years, • Proven experience in business analysis, process modeling, and project management., • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate complex data and deliver actionable insights., • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders., • Experience with business process modeling tools (e.g., Visio, Lucid) and proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL)., • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment., • Computer Skills • Expert working with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc.), • Capable with or able to learn Andrew Reise toolsets for document management, meeting facilitation, CRM, project planning, task management, time & expense entry, and invoicing/financials • Travel - Willingness to travel for proposals, meetings, project work, and/or presentations on either a periodic or, in some cases, regularly recurring basis To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: • Continuous Learning - Identifies growth and learning opportunities within the organization. Strives to build rapport with members of the client team and other stakeholders and establishes personal connections where possible., • Maintaining Client Focus - Understands the client's business objectives, requirements and constraints as well as ensures that all project activities are aligned with these factors., • Quality - Provides clients accurate, reliable, and insightful analysis that is easy to understand and delivers value based on company quality expectations; completes deliverables and inputs to deliverables in an accurate, effective, and complete manner., • Strategic Thinking - Brings ideas to move client deliverables and Andrew Reise forward. Prioritize billable work over non-billable contributions. Seek alignment on what success looks like at end of project.
