Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour Note: This is a full-time position and requires employees to be on-site five days a week at our client’s Overland Park, KS office. Note: The qualified candidate for this position must have 2+ years of civil litigation defense experience (medical malpractice, personal injury, product liability, or wrongful death preferred). Job Description • Provide comprehensive paralegal support to attorneys handling litigation defense matters, • Manage case files from start to finish, including organization, deadlines, and billing, • Review and analyze medical records and other evidence, • Conduct legal research and prepare summaries of regulations, case law, and depositions, • Draft, edit, and proofread legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence, • Assist with trial preparation, including preparing exhibits and witness coordination, • Maintain direct communication with clients, witnesses, and opposing counsel, • Support attorneys with administrative tasks such as calendaring and document filing Qualifications • 2+ years of civil litigation defense experience required (medical malpractice, personal injury, product liability, wrongful death), • Bachelor’s degree required; paralegal certificate a plus, • Strong knowledge of court rules, filing procedures, and case management, • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, • Excellent written and verbal communication skills Why This Is a Great Opportunity • Direct exposure to civil litigation defense and trial work alongside experienced attorneys, • Potential for contract roles to convert into permanent employment, • Comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, disability, 401k, PTO, wellness programs, and more), • Join a firm with a proven record of success and supportive, team-oriented culture JPC-412 Job Type: Full-time Benefits: • Dental insurance, • Health insurance, • Paid time off, • Retirement plan, • Vision insurance
