Job DescriptionDescription: Joseph, Hollander & Craft LLC has an immediate opening for an experienced Family Law Legal Assistant to join our Overland Park office. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who can provide high-level support to two to three newer attorneys in the early stages of their practice, while helping ensure organization, efficiency, and strong client service across matters. The ideal candidate will, among other duties as assigned: draft and prepare legal correspondence, pleadings, and discovery; manage attorney calendars and deadlines; assist with case strategy and file management; and provide administrative and organizational support. This position also plays an important role in helping guide and support newer attorneys as they develop their practice. Excellent communication and organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, strong attention to detail, and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset are essential. Participation in ongoing learning and development, along with a willingness to mentor and collaborate with team members, is expected. Requirements: Preferred Qualifications: • 5+ years of family law or related legal experience strongly preferred (10+ years highly valued), • Paralegal certification preferred, but not required, • Experience supporting multiple attorneys in a fast-paced environment, • Familiarity with Tabs3 billing and case management software is a plus, • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, • Solid understanding of legal terminology, court filing requirements, and case workflows Education & Experience Requirements: • High school diploma or GED required, • Equivalent combinations of education, certification (ALS, PLS, CPS, or paralegal certificate), and experience will be considered
