Job DescriptionDescriptionThe Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day project operations, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. This role focuses on coordinating resources, monitoring project progression, and providing technical assistance to achieve project goals effectively and efficiently. The Operations Supervisor collaborates with internal teams and external stakeholders to maintain high standards of performance and customer satisfaction. The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices daily: 1) Demonstrate alignment with the company's mission and core business values; 2) Collaborate with key internal/external resources. 3) Participate in ongoing self-development. Essential Functions • Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission., • Assist with economic evaluations, scheduling, and logistics to support project execution., • Ensure Construction Superintendent costs align with project scope and goals., • Oversee team compliance with safety training and quality standards; assess certification needs., • Support on the job training efforts and team onsite as needed., • Support project management activities and decision-making., • Coordinate team activities to maintain productivity and meet deadlines., • Provide technical support and help resolve operational challenges., • Collaborate across the team to provide legendary customer service., • Delegate tasks effectively based on project requirements., • Estimate resources, establish clear ownership for project tasks, ensure that team members have necessary tools and provide timely feedback., • Develop, and maintain, effective business relationships vital to project success and to communicate project expectations and goals. Proactively communicate project status, issues, and risks to management while minimizing HOLT’s exposure and risk on the project., • Provide technical resources to remove roadblocks and support PSD customers and stakeholders., • Track progress, assess issues and identify solutions to meet deadlines while maintaining productivity, quality, and customer goals., • Ensure project documents are up to date, complete, and stored appropriately., • Arrange training in alignment with customer and organizational goals., • Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management., • Working with project managers to identify successful/ unsuccessful project elements through recommendations based on post-mortems., • Identifies opportunities for improvement and makes constructive suggestions for change while remaining on the forefront of change as presented by Caterpillar and HOLT., • Coaching/mentoring and supporting other members of the Engineering team., • Works safely always and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards and ensures these standards are met within the team., • Evaluate, prioritize, and implement project work plans to optimize customer satisfaction and company profitability., • Knowledge of construction project management, cost control, and scheduling., • Knowledge of safety, quality standards, and required certifications., • Knowledge of construction operations, technical processes, and equipment., • Knowledge of training practices, documentation standards, and continuous improvement methods., • Leadership, delegation, and team coordination skills., • Problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills., • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills., • Coaching, mentoring, and customer service skills., • Ability to maintain accurate project documentation., • Familiarity in cross-functional program management in large enterprise environment, • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree preferred.•, • Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience required (preferably related to project management, engineering or construction management)•, • Supervisor experience is preferred.Supervisory Responsibilities:, • This position directs and manages the Construction Superintendent Team. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; coaching and development; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Travel:, • As Required to execute work effectively. Travel up to 50%.Physical Requirements:, • This position involves extended periods in a stationary position; additionally, occasional movement inside the office to access office machinery, file cabinets, etc., • This role frequently communicates with others, must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations., • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and tablets.Work Environment:, • This job is generally performed in a professional office environment.
