Location: It is anticipated that the incumbent in this position will travel daily in an approximate 2-hour radius around the St. Louis, MO-area. Job Description: The Clinical Nurse Liaison is responsible for generating acute infusion (TPN, antibiotic, inotropic, nutrition) patient referrals via the sales process. This role bridges clinical expertise with business development by cultivating strong relationships with referral sources while advocating for patients throughout the transition from hospital to home or alternate sites of care. The Clinical Nurse Liaison will collaborate with internal teams (pharmacy, intake, nursing, operations) and external partners (case managers, discharge planners, physicians, and social workers) to ensure seamless patient care that aligns with the organization’s mission and clinical standards. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS • Current Missouri State RN licensure required, • Valid driver’s license required, • Excellent communication and presentation skills required, • Current Illinois State RN licensure preferred, • Minimum of three (3) years homecare or clinical experience preferred, • Prior sales and marketing experience preferred Referral Development & Relationship Management • Establish and maintain relationships with physicians, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities (SNFs), assisted living facilities (ALFs), home health agencies, and payers in assigned territories., • Generate new referrals by educating referral sources on infusion therapies, service lines, and coverage criteria., • Deliver in-services, presentations, and educational programs to healthcare professionals and facilities., • Act as a patient advocate throughout the care transition process, ensuring patient needs are prioritized., • Collaborate with hospital case managers, discharge planners, and referring providers to coordinate safe, timely, and appropriate discharges., • Conduct initial infusion therapy set-ups and provide patient/caregiver education on therapy services, technology, and care expectations., • Validate physician or prescriber orders as required by licensure., • Collaborate with pharmacy, nursing, reimbursement, and operational staff to facilitate continuity of care., • Maintain clinical expertise and fulfill licensure requirements through ongoing training and education., • Function autonomously while ensuring adherence to established protocols and standards., • Meet or exceed referral, revenue, and profit objectives for assigned territory., • Support sales development by evaluating business opportunities and coordinating service with targeted accounts., • Adhere to company policies, confidentiality requirements, and regulatory standards., • Follow universal precautions and infection control procedures., • Respect and preserve patient dignity, rights, and diversity while maintaining confidentiality. Clinical & Industry Knowledge • Infusion therapies (TPN, antibiotics, inotropics, nutrition), • Hospital discharge planning and post-acute care processes, • Home health and infusion reimbursement practices, • Building and maintaining professional relationships with referral sources (physicians, case managers, discharge planners, SNFs, etc.), • Excellent oral and written communication, including group presentations and in-services, • Patient and caregiver education on infusion therapies and equipment, • Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple priorities, • Computer literacy for documentation, reporting, and communication, • Advocate for patients and ensure seamless transitions of care, • Function autonomously while meeting referral, revenue, and performance goals, • Adapt to hospital, facility, and community-based settings with frequent travel, • Oral Communication - Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; Responds well to questions; Demonstrates group presentation skills; Participates in meetings., • This position requires constant walking and driving with occasional, standing, kneeling or stooping., • This position requires the use of hands to finger, handle or feel objects and the ability to reach with hands and arms., • This position requires constant talking and hearing., • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus., • This position must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, • Required to move/lift physical hardware.
