This travel nursing job offers the opportunity to work with advanced technology and a multidisciplinary team in one of Nebraska's premier healthcare facilities.\n \n\nTravel Nursing Job Details\n\n • Location: Omaha, NE 68114 – A vibrant Midwest city known for its welcoming community, excellent healthcare jobs, and thriving arts scene.\n, • Estimated Weekly Pay: $2250-$2310\n, • Start Date: December 8, 2025\n, • End Date: March 9, 2026\n, • Contract Length: 13 weeks\n, • Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:00)\n, • Hours per Week: 36\n, • Unit: Cardiac ICU (CVPICU), 32 beds, average daily census of 21\n, • Patient Ratios: 1:2\n, • Weekend Coverage: Required (3 out of 6 weekends per contract)\n, • Floating: May float to PICU, NICU, and Med/Surg units as needed\n\n\nPICU RN Qualifications\n\n, • Minimum 2 years of recent pediatric cardiac ICU or CVPICU nursing experience required\n, • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Nebraska or compact state)\n, • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS (CCRN preferred)\n, • Proficiency with invasive cardiac monitoring, ECMO, CRRT, vasopressors, and cardiac/sedation drips\n, • First-time travel nurses welcome\n, • Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted); COVID-19 vaccine not required\n, • Experience caring for neonates, infants, and pediatric patients\n, • Applicants must reside more than 100 miles from Omaha, NE\n\n\nPediatric Cardiac ICU RN Responsibilities\n\n, • Deliver high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients with complex cardiac conditions, including post-op open hearts, single ventricles, heart transplants, and heart failure\n, • Monitor and manage invasive cardiac lines (CVP, ART, RA, etc.) and advanced therapies such as ECMO and CRRT\n, • Administer and titrate cardiac and sedation drips, vasopressors, and antiarrhythmics\n, • Assist with special procedures, including intubation, chest tube management, and ventilator care\n, • Interpret arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias; respond to pediatric emergencies\n, • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV therapy, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, and pharmacy\n, • Float to other critical care units (PICU, NICU, Med/Surg) as required\n We believe in empowering your career.
