Job Description Aerotek is hiring for Flaggers with WEEKLY pay in Carnegie, PA! $19/hr | Dayshift Job Description We are seeking dedicated and safety-focused Flaggers to support roadway construction and maintenance projects. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety of workers, drivers, and pedestrians by directing traffic flow around active work zones. Candidates should be alert, dependable, and able to communicate effectively in fast-changing environments. Responsibilities • Direct and control traffic using stop/slow paddles, hand signals, and radios to maintain safe movement through work zones., • Set up, maintain, and remove traffic control devices such as cones, signs, and barricades according to company and state standards., • Monitor road and worksite conditions and adjust traffic control patterns as needed to ensure safety., • Communicate effectively with crew members, supervisors, and the public to coordinate safe operations., • Follow all safety protocols and report hazards, incidents, or equipment issues immediately., • Construction, • Traffic management, • Traffic control, • Safety, • General labor, • Steel toe boots required/composite boots that need to come above the ankle., • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation., • Ability to lift 30–50 lbs and work outdoors in all weather., • Strong situational awareness and communication skills., • Ability to remain calm and professional with the public., • Prior flagging or construction experience is a plus but not required. We offer PPE at no cost, and our flagging certification is covered, so you won't pay out of pocket. Orientation includes complimentary breakfast and lunch, and once hired and promoted, a vehicle is provided. Work Environment This position requires working 100% outdoors on active construction jobs. You will work Monday through Friday, with the occasional Saturday, for 8-10 hours a day. Initial orientation is conducted in Canonsburg, where breakfast and lunch are provided. You will be dispatched daily from your home via an app within a one-hour radius of the shop, covering areas such as Newcastle, Beaver Falls, Central Pittsburgh, Washington, Canonsburg, Uniontown, Dunbar, and Connellsville. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carnegie, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
