Job Description Job Title: Solderer Assembler Job Description Join a dynamic team as a Solderer where you will be responsible for building cable assemblies from drawings without explicit work instructions. Experience in soldering a wide variety of products and orders is essential, and any wire or harness soldering experience is a significant advantage. Essential Skills • Assembly and soldering skills, including cable assembly and EM assembly., • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and electromechanical schematics., • Experience with tools and equipment such as soldering irons, volt meters, and other test instrumentation., • Follow production drawings, sample assemblies, and verbal instructions with minimal supervision., • Apply established acceptable workmanship practices to all facets of electronic assembly., • Interpret and work from electromechanical schematics, drawings, work instructions, and bills of material to understand the required parts and steps needed to complete assigned assemblies., • Read worksheets and wiring diagrams to select components such as transistors, resistors, relays, capacitors, and integrated circuits., • Mount complex assembled components on chassis panels requiring manual dexterity and the ability to work with simple hand tools, soldering equipment, volt meters, and other related test instrumentation., • Connect component lead wires to printed circuits or route and connect wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals, and contact points., • Crimp, stake, screw, bolt, rivet, weld, solder, cement, press fit, or perform similar operations to join or secure parts in place., • Use hand and small power tools to place small components in boards, cables, connectors, etc., and perform basic tests., • Perform other assembly tasks such as potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy bonding, curing, stamping, etching, impregnating, and color-coding parts and assemblies., • Perform hand soldering using a soldering iron and may perform work under a microscope., • Conduct online go-not-go testing and inspections to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards., • Minimum High School diploma or equivalent. Work Environment Located in San Diego, CA, the work environment includes a flexible first shift from 5:00 am to 1:30 pm or 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, with about 10 hours of overtime per week and occasional Saturdays. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of SAN DIEGO, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $32.00/hr.
